John "J.T." Thomas Owen

   Funeral services for Mr. John Thomas Owen, 87, of Waterproof 
were held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on July 26, 2003. 
Interment was in Natchez City Cemetery.
   Mr. Owen died July 23, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe.  
He was a resident of Waterproof.
   He was preceded in death by one son John T. Owen, Jr.; his 
father, Arthur Owen and his mother, Bertha Owen.
   Mr. Owen is survived by one son D. Owen of Silvercreek, 
Mississippi; his daughter Marsha O Gill of Shreveport; his wife, 
Mary T. Owen of Waterproof; and two grandchildren.
