George Larry Rachal

   Funeral services were held for Mr. George Larry Rachal, 81, of 
Newellton were held on December 28, 2003 in the St. Joseph Catholic 
Church.  Interment was in the Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton.

  Mr. Rachal died December 26, 2003 in the North Monroe Hospital.  He 
was born in Natchitoches Parish and had been a resident of Tensas 
Parish for the last four years.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World 
War II.

  Mr. Rachal is survived by his wife, Susan Peters Rachal of 
Newellton; one daughter, Liz Rachal Newellton; three sisters, Alma 
Black of West Monroe, Mae Brossett and Lela Bennett, both of Monroe.
