Beatrice Ross Ratcliff

   Funeral services for Beatrice "Bea" Ross Ratcliff, 97, of 
Columbus, MS, were held June 7, 2003 at Gunter and Peel Chapel.  
Interment was held on June 8 at Legion Memorial Cemetery in 
Newellton.
   Mrs. Ratcliff died June 6, 2003.  She was born September 26, 
1905 in Kemper County, MS to the late William Joseph and Susan 
Beatrice Bounds Ross.
   Mrs. Ratcliff was preceded in death by her parents, her 
husband, Douglas Horton Ratcliff and a grandson, Dudley 
Hutchinson, III.
   Survivors include her daughter Betty Clyde Jones of 
Columbus, MS; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
   Mrs. Ratcliff was a long time resident of Newellton.
