Mary Lyle Miller Roberson

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Lyle Miller Roberson, age 88, 
were held Friday, August 4, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. in Legion 
Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, Louisiana with Father Thomas 
Wade officiating.  

Mrs. Roberson died Wednesday, August 2, at her home in St. 
Joseph.  She was a retired school teacher, a homemaker, and 
a member of the Presbyterian faith. She had lived in St. 
Joseph most of her life. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, John H. Roberson, Sr.

Mrs. Roberson is survived by one son, Dr. John H. Roberson, 
Jr., and his wife Bettie of Newellton; one daughter, Patricia 
L. Gray of St. Joseph; six grandchildren, Drake A. Gray, Lisa 
L. Dixon, Leslie Gray, Dr. John J. Roberson, Jennifer R. Ginn 
and Amy E. Roberson; six great grandchildren; two brothers, B. 
U. Miller of Ferriday and Ed L. Miller of Monroe; one sister, 
Agnes M. Nelson of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and numerous nieces 
and nephews. 

Pallbearers were nephews of the Miller family.

The family requests memorials be made to Tensas Academy or to 
the Texas Children's Hospital, Renal Department, P. 0. Box 300630, 
Houston, Texas 77230-0630.
