All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Page 6-Wednesday, October 4, 2000 Mr. John Wesley Scott, Jr. Graveside services for Mr. John Wesley Scott, Jr., age 81, of St. Joseph were were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2000 in the Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton with Father William Dennis officiating. Burial was under the direction of Crothers- Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Scott died late Wednesday night, September 27, at his residence in St. Joseph. He was born in St. Joseph and had lived most of his life there. He was an electrical communications and television repairman and a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in St. Joseph. He was an artillery veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Helen Ricks Scott of St. Joseph; four Sons; John Wesley Scott, III of Farmington, Missouri, Gerald A. Scott of St. Francisville, Fred E. Scott of St. Joseph, and David W. Scott of Shreveport, one brother, William Eugene Scott of Hammond; two sisters, Dot Curry of St. Joseph and Jane Gould of Sulphur; two grandchildren, Dawn Scaife of Plano, Texas, and Todd Eugene Scott of St. Joseph. Pallbearers were Kenneth Jones, Edwin Blanche, Rickey Jones, Ernest Hestle, Rickey Foster, David W. Scott, and Todd Scott.
