James Skipper, Sr.

    Funeral services for James Skipper, Sr., 67, of Waterproof were 
held on May 27, 2003, at Ferriday Church of God. Interment was in 
Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton.
    Mr. Skipper was born April 3, 1936 in Gilbert
    He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Don Skipper; his 
mother, Ruth Skipper; his father, Luther Skipper, Sr.; a grandson, 
Justin Wade Skipper and a granddaughter, Angel Shea Skipper.
    Mr. Skipper is survived by his wife, Lanell Skipper of 
Waterproof; two sons, James and Brenda Skipper, Jr. of Olla and 
Bobby and Janet Skipper of Sicily Island; two grandchildren, one 
great grandchild; four sisters, Allene Hoss of DeRidder, Louise 
Welborn of Holden, Mary White of Ferriday and Sherrie Guthrie of 
Natchez, Mississippi; and three brothers, Luther Skipper, Jr. of 
Sicily Island, Raymond Skipper of Clayton and Bo Skipper of 
St. Joseph.
