Walter Clyde "Johnny" Smith

     Funeral services for Walter Clyde 
“Johnny” Smith, 63, of Newellton, were 
held on April 9, 2004 in the chapel of 
Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. 
Interment was in Legion Memorial 
Cemetery in Newellton.

     Mr. Smith died April 8, 2004 at 
Franklin Medical Center. He was a life 
long resident of Newellton.  He was 
preceded in death by his father Walter 
O. Smith, Jr.

     Surviving are his wife, Rebecca E. 
Smith; a daughter, Shelia Cannon of 
Arlington, Texas; his mother Lela 
Wiggins of Vidalia; a sister, Lynn 
Thompson of Tallulah; a brother, Phil 
Felder of Baton Rouge and two 
granddaughters.
