All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** David Jesse Strahan, Sr. Funeral services for Mr. David Jesse Strahan, Sr., age 46 of St. Joseph, Louisiana, were held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, May21, 2000, in the First United Pentecostal Church in Newellton, Louisiana with Reverend David McKeithen officiating. Burial was in the Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, under the direction of Crothers- Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Strahan died suddenly at the Framklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, Friday, May 19. He was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and had lived in Tensas Parish for 35 years. He was employed as a tractor mechinic with Scott Tractor Company. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church, a Sunday School Superintendent, and a member of the Church Board. Survivors include his wife, Donna Sue Jones Strahan of St. Joseph; two sons, David Jesse Strahan, Jr. and Danny Strahan and his wife Tina, all of St. Joseph; one granddaughter, Kelly Marie Strahan; one grandson, Dakota Aaron Strahan, both of St. Joseph; one brother, Michael Strahan of Panama City, Florida; one sister, Cindy Nelson of Clearwater, Florida; and one Aunt, Mary Kirkpatrick of St. Joseph. Pallbearers were James "Sambo" Jones, Don Jones, Robert Jones, Sheriff Rickey Jones, James Harrington and Bo Skipper. Honorary pallbearers were Mr. Strahan's nephews and Employees of Scott Tractor Company.
