Marie Merritt Wilson

    Funeral services for Marie Merritt 
Wilson, 43, of Maylene, Alabama were 
held April 11, 2004 at the United 
Pentecostal Church in Newellton. 
Interment was in the Merritt Family 
Cemetery in Newellton.

     Mrs. Wilson was born on September 
27, 1960 in Newellton and died on April 
8, 2004, at her residence in Maylene, 
Alabama.

     Surviving are her husband, Charles 
L. Wilson of Maylene, Alabama; a son 
Cole Hickenbottom of Monroe and Aimee 
Hickenbottom of Maylene, Alabama; her 
parents, Jack and Louise Merritt of 
Newellton; two sisters, Brenda Lewis of 
Natchez, Mississippi and Leona Freeman 
of Newellton; two brothers, Jack O’Neal 
Merritt of Newellton and Paul Merritt 
of Jackson, Mississippi; and three 
stepchildren Charles Howe Wilson of 
Augusta, Georgia, Holli Lathroum of 
Beckley, West Virginia and Jenny Wilson 
Colvin of Boaz, Alabama, and one 
grandson.
