All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** State of Louisiana, Parish of Tensas Be it known that I William D A Gorton, notary public in and for the Parish of Tensas and State of Louisiana of the 20th day of February 1918 I repaired to the house of Mrs. Jennie Bass, a resident of the said Parish and State, where at her request and at her dictation the following instrument was written by me the said notary, and declared to be her last will and testament. According to an agreement made with her late dear husband I promised to leave this Myrtle Grove Plantation to my adopted son and nephew John F. Richardson with all property thereon and hereby do give and bequeath the said property to him-and furthermore I give and bequeath to Henry Richardson, my nephew that portion of said land known as the Hays tract, consisting of two hundred and fifty acres now under lease to Mr. Morris Norpaan furthermore I will that the Nealy field and Chickenville be sold to pay the debt now resting on the property--Furthermore I desire and wish that my nephew John F. Richardson be care taker and provider of and for his two sisters, Mary J Rasche and Anna Moult Dodge. In testimony whereof the said Mrs. Jennie Bass has signed her will herself in of Chas L. Kempe, Chas D. Brigham and R. F. Farrell, lawful Witnesses residing in the parish and me notary, after having read the same in an audible voice in the presence of the testator and the witnesses without interuption and without turning aside to other acts this 20th day of February AD 1918 (signed) Jennie Bass Witnesses: W.
