D. DOWNING ========================= 12 Dec. 1830 Dr. D. D. DOWNING died intestate leaving property in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. His only heir is William DOWNING residing in Mississippi. He is a minor ten years of age. It is the wish of the nearest relatives (not named) that Jesse BATEY be appointed curator of the estate. ========================= 4 Dec. 1830 It is the request of Mrs. Mary BULLICK [BULLOCK] and Mrs. Elizabeth MOORE, sisters-in-law of Doct. D. D. DOWNING, that Doct. J. BATEY be appointed curator. ========================== 7 Dec. 1830 At the residence and plantation of the late Dr. D. D. DOWNING, Dr. J. BATEY was appointed curator. ========================== 7 Dec. 1830 Lemuel K. CLIFTON and Lemuel TANNER were appointed appraisers. ========================== 7 Dec. 1830 At the request of Joseph J. DOWNING an inventory of the late residence and plantation of D. D. DOWNING was taken. One tract of land nine miles from Thibodauxville twenty-five arpents front on the left bank of Bayou Terrebonne and twenty-three and one half arpents front on the right bank, bounded above by Jacques BONVILLAIN and below by E. LYMAN with buildings.
