THIBODAUX, sells to Dr. D. D. DOWNING of Port Gibson, Mississippi 1) Land eight miles from Bayou Lafourche with four arpents front on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by Pierre GAUTIER on the right bank and by land of the vendor on the left bank and below by Norbert BONVILLAIN, by depth survey calls for. 2) Three and one half arpents front on the left bank of Bayou Terrebonne by depth of survey, bounded below by the tract sold above and opposite the church. 3) A tract a few arpents above the tracts sold here. Three arpents on the front on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by Jacques BONVILLAIN and below by Aubin THIBODAUX. 4) Also included in this sale are the mortgage notes of N. D. DOWNING of this parish, who is represented by George LAKE, land about seven miles from [Bayou] Lafourche being two arpents front on the right bank of Bayou Terrebonne by ten arpents depth, bounded above by the land of Mrs. H. S. THIBODAUX and below by the land of the present buyer. ====================== Book E, pg. 244 10 March 1830 Appeared Mrs. Magdeleine ANDRE [?], widow of Urbain ARCENEAUX of this parish who sells to Dr. D. D. DOWNING land eight miles from Thibodauxville four arpents front on each side of Bayou Terrebonne by depth of survey, bounded above by George LAKE and below by Joseph CHANDLER. This is the same land the widow ARCENEAUX acquired from Madam Joseph P. BOURGEOIS
