     ENGAGEMENTS ANNOUNCED

     

     

     MARIE-DUPRE

          Kevin and Carol Marie of Houma announce the engagement of their

     daughter, Stacy Lynne Marie, to Kyle Paul Dupre, son of Everard and Kathleen

     Dupre of Houma. 

          The couple will exchange vows at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 3, 2001, at First United

     Methodist Church in Houma. The future bride  is the grand-daughter of C.J. and

     Sybil Thibodeaux, and the late Carlos "Bobby" and Rita Marie.  She is a 1994

     graduate of H.L. Bourgeois High School and a 1998 graduate of  Nicholls     State

     University.  

          She is employed by the Terrebonne Parish School Board. 

          The prospective groom is the grandson of Gill
is and Lucille Thibodaux, the

     late David Dupre and Clonise Dupre.

          He is a 1992 graduate of South Terrebonne High School and is employed

     by Transocean Sedco Forex.

     

     WALDRUP-DERISH

          Kenneth and Kim Chatagnier Waldrup of Bourg announce the engagement

     of their daughter, Klaire  Ashleigh Waldrup, to Christopher Hart Derish, son of

     Tyrone Derish of Denham Springs and Ramona Morracco of Harvey.

          The couple will exchange vows in August at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's

     Witnesses in Houma.

          The future bride is a 1998 graduate of South Terrebonne High School and

     a graduate of Omega Institute, of Cosmetology.

          The prospective groom is a 1988 graduate of LW. Higgins High School in

     Marrero and a graduate of Delgado Community College. He is employed by Bell

     South.

          The couple will reside in Marrero.

     

     WEST-PRICE

          Mr. and Mrs. Tom West of Houma announce the engagement of their

     daughter, Stephanie Rebecca West, to Kenneth Paul Price 11, son of Kenneth

     Price and Carolyn Elkins of Houma.

          The couple will exchange vows at 1 p.m. Aug. 4, 2001, at St. Francis de

     Sales Cathedral.

          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Marie Stevens, the late Chalmas

     Stevens,
 Eulene West and the late Thomas West.

          She is a 1998 graduate of  Terrebonne High School and attends Nicholls

     State University.

          The prospective groom is the grandson of Jessie Thibodeaux, the late

     Oliver Thibodeaux, Adele Price and the late Allen Price.

          He is a 1997 graduate of Terrebonne High School.

     

     PETERS-ARMOND

          Sonia and Alton Peters of Poplarville, Miss., announce the engagement of

     their daughter, Mary Carrin Peters,  to Christopher Peter Armond, son of Julie and

     Easton Armond of Houma.

          The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Aug. 4, 2001, at St. Gergory

     Barbarios Church.

          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Murriel Peters, the late Thomas

     Peters, and Lawrence and Alice Peters.

          She is a 1999 graduate of Thibodaux High School and attends Xavier

     Pharmacy School in New Orleans.

          The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Evelyn and Rillias

     Marcel and the late Rose and Easton Armond.
