          Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Bethancourt Jr. of Houma announce the
      engagement of their daughter, Iris Daniella Bethancourt to Caleb Israel Stuart son
      of the Rev. and Mrs. R G. Stuart Jr. of Harvey.
          The couple will exchange vows at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 22, 2001, at Mulberry    
      Baptist Church in Houma.
          The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard J.
      Bethancourt  Sr. of Houma and the late Lau Chan. and Man Ah LAN.
     She is a 1996 graduate of Vanderbilt Catholic High School and a 2000 graduate of
      Tulane University.
          She is employed by the Department of Surgery at the Louisiana State
      Univer
sity School of  Medicine in New Orleans.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs.R.G. Stuart
      Sr., and Mr. and Mrs.Travis Vann of Magnolia, Ark.
          He is a 1996 graduate of Crescent City Baptist High School in Metairie and
      a 2000 graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches.
          He is employed by TulaneUniversity.

          Margaret Nardi of Elizabeth, NJ.,announces the engagement of her
      daughter, Rhonda Nardi, to Ronald Lenain, son of June and Sherrill Bergeron of
      Houma and the late Hervis Lenain. Rhonda is also the daughter of the late Santo
      Nardi..
          The couple will exchange vows at1:30 p.m. Dec. 8, 2001, at St. Bridget

          The future bride is the grand-daughter of the late Ernest Williams Sr.,

      graduate of Louisiana Technical College-Young Memorial Campus in Nursing in
      Morgan City.
