          Claude E. Rolando of Houma announces the engagement of his daughter,
      Connie L Rolando, to C.Lindy Hammonds II, son of Charles and Carol
      Hammonds of Houma.
          The couple will exchange vows at 7p.m. Dec. 31, 2001, at 302 Roberta
      Grove Blvd. in Houma.
          The prospective groom, is the grandson of Vernon and Josephine Hudman.
          He is employed by Hammonds Air Service.
     
     
     TROSCLAIR-DYKES
          Mr. and Mrs. Mitchum Trosclair of Manderville announce        
      engagement of their daughter, Melanie Marie Trosclair, to Kevin Bruce Dykes,
      son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Dykes of Mandeville.
  
        The couple will exchange vows on Dec. 29,2001, at Our Lady of the Lake
      Catholic Church in Mandeville.
          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Troselair of
      Thibodaux, Eura Lee Babin of Houma and the late Nouga Babin.
          She is a graduate of Northwest Rankin High School and a graduate of
      Miss'issippi State University with a bachelors of business administration degree in
      marketing.   She also received a master's of business administration degree       
     from Mississippi College.
          She is employed with Airborne Express in Houston, Texas, as an account
      executive.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of Melba Welch of Bogalusa, the
      late Gerald Dykes, Claudine O'Keefe of Mandeville and Jimmie Boyd of Bay St
      Louis, Miss.
          He is a graduate of Mandeville High School and a graduate of Mississippi
      State University with a bachelors degree in civil engineering.
          He is employed as a project engineer with Exxon Mobil Chemical in
      Houston, Texas.
     
     
     FAULK-STRANGE
          Dagmar Theriot Faulk of Eastman,  Ga., announces the engagement of her
      daughter, Dagney Gail Faulk, to Lawrence Joseph Strange, son of Margaret and
      John Strange of Batesville, Ind. 
          The bride is al
so the daughter of the late Isaac Gail Faulk.
          The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. Dec. 29, 2001, at First
      Presbyterian Church in Eastman.
          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Josie Brantley Dixon of Eastman,
      the late Bernice Dixon, the late Ernest Faulk, Helga Wikson Theriot of Houma
      and the late Eris Theriot.
          She is a graduate of Dodge County High School, a graduate of Mt. Vernon
      College in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor's degree in international studies and
      arts and humanities, and a graduate of Georgia State University a master's degree
      and Ph.D. in economics.
                  She is employed by Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Ind., as
      an assistant professor of economics.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Florentine Henry
      Weigel, the late Margaret Blank, the late John Lewis Strange and the late Della
      Taylor Strange.
          He is a graduate of Marmion Military Academy in Aurora, M., a graduate
      of the University of Montana and is a member of the American Institute of
      Certified Planners.
          He is employed by The Corradino Group of Louisville, Ky., as a
      transportation and community planner.
