     ENGAGEMENTS ANNOUNCED
     
     CANTRELLE-MARTIN
          Wayne and Rosalie Cantrelle of Golden Meadow announce the engagement
      of their daughter, Jill Marie Cantrelle, to Denny David Martin, son of Dennis and
      Robbin Martin of Galliano.
          The couple will exchange vows in January at Our lady of Prompt Succor in
      Golden Meadow.
          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Ernest and Rema Amos of
      Golden Meadow and Linton and Nell Cantrelle of Cut Off.
          She is a 1999 graduate of South Lafourche High School and attends
      Nicholls State University.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of Augustine M. Breaux of
      Galliano, the late Uderi
ck Martin, Amy St. Pierre of Golden Meadow and the late
      Pershing St. Pierre.
          He is a 1997 graduate of South Lafourche High School and a graduate   of 
      Southeast College of Technology.
          He is employed by Allison Marine.
     
     PIERRE-MILLER
          John and Gretta Pierre of St. Martinville announce the engagement of their
      daughter, Cherie Renette Pierre, to Derrick Abraham Miller, son of Geraldine
      Lyons Miller of Houma and the late John L Miller.
          The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m. Dec. 29, 2001, at St. Lucy
      Catholic Church. 
          The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bourda of
      St. Martinville, Melonie Pierre of Cypress Island and the late Harry Pierre.             
              She is a 1989 graduate of Terrebonne High School and a 1995 graduate of
      Nicholls State University.
          She is employed  by Terrebonne General Medical Center.
          The prospective groom is a 1992 graduate of South Terrebonne High
      School and attended Nicholls State University.
     
     BREAUX-DINEEN
          Gerald and Karen Foret Breaux of Raceland announce the engagement
     their daughter, Laura Ann Breaux, to Brian Ely Dineen, son of Robert Land Sylvia
      Dineen of Huntsville, Ala.
          The couple will exchange
 vows at 7 p.m. Jan. 11, 2002, at St. Hilary of
      Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews.
          The future bride is a 1996 graduate of Central Lafourche High School and
      attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
          The prospective groom is a 1995 graduate of Grissom High School in
      Huntsville and a 1999 graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
     
     
     WILSON-POIENCOT
          Norma and Frank Wilson of Houma announce the engagement of their
      daughter, Sheila M. Wilson, to Clark David Poiencot, son of Betty and Al
      Poiencot of Houma.
          The couple will exchange vows at 7 p.m. Jan. 4, 2002.
     The future bride is the grand-daughter of the late Clyde and Berdice Wilson and
      the late Anthony and Hazel Hebert.
          She is a 1986 graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School and a graduate
      from Charleston Cosmetology Institute.
          She is currently working at Signature Salon.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of Leta Eschete of Houma, the late
      Nolan "Foots" Eschete, and the late Enos and Celine Poiencot.
          He is a 1977 graduate of Terrebonne High School.
          He is owner and operator of Shop-N-Bag No.,2/Subway.
