     BOQUET-LEBLANC
          Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Boquet of Houma announce the engagement of their
     daughter, Michele Marie Boquetto Michael Allen LeBlanc, son of Mr.and Mrs.
     Allen LeBlanc of Central.
          The couple will exchange vows at11 a.m. Jan. 12, 2001, at Living Word
     Church in Houma.
          The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Alcee Boquet, Neva
     Boquet of Bourg, and the late Norris and Lydia Falgout.
          She is a 1986 graduate of South Terrebonne High School and a 1991
     graduate of Nicholls State University.
          She is employed by Louisiana State University Health Science
     Center/Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Louis and Christine
     LeBlanc and the late Robert and Pearl Powers.
          He is a 1980 graduate of Baton Rouge High Magnet School and a 1984
     graduate of Louisiana State University.
          He is employed by ALCOA Port Allen Works.
     
     
     DUPRE-EVANS
          Mr. and Mrs. Alton Dupre Jr. of Pointe-aux-Chenes announce the
     engagement of their daughter, Mandy Marie Dupre, to Brent Michael Evans, son
     of Mr. and Mrs. Rickie Evans of Houma.

uple will exchange vows at, 2 p.m. Jan. 5, 2002, at Living Word
     Church.
          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Edward Dufrene, the late Theresa
     Neil Dufrene, and Alton Dupre Sr. and Irna Chaisson Dupre.
          She is a 1999 graduate of South Terrebonne High School and attends
     Nicholls State University.
          She is employed by Synergy Bank of Houma.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Jerry Evans, Betty Evans
     Talbot, the late John Stokes and Shirley Terrebonne Stokes.
          He is a 1996 graduate of Houma Christian School in Houma and attends
     Nicholls State University.
