          Scott and Sharlene Adams of Larose announce the engagement of their
      daughter, Billy Gene Adams, to Joe Thomas Robicaux, son of Suzanne and
      Thomas Robichaux Jr. of Larose. 
          The couple will exchange vows in January at Our Lady of the Rosary
      Catholic Church in Larose.
          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Irvin and Rose Mary Adams of
      Larose, Rosa Savoie of Larose and the late Sidney J. Savoie.
          She is a 1991 graduate of South Lafourche High School and a graduate of
      Nicholls State University.
          The prospective grooms is the grandson of T. J. "Lou" and Wildred
      Robichau
x of Larose, Roy LaMeur of Lake Charles and the late Pearl T LeFleur.
          He is a 1993 graduate of South Lafourche High School and a former
     U.S. Marine.
     
     
     CALLAIS-MATHERNE
          Teddy and Mary Ann Callais of Golden Meadow announce the engagement
      of their daughter Courtney Elizabeth Callais, to Donavan Matherne, son of Alvin
      Matherne of Cut Off and the late Mary Ann Matherne.
          The couple will exchange vows at p.m. Jan. 25, 2002, at Our Lady of
      Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. 
          The future bride is the grand-daughter of the late Norby and Sogan
      Boudreaux, and the late Theophile and Victoria Callais.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Colbert and Minola
      Matherne, and the late Early and Lucille Hebert.
