          Wilson J. Gaidry III of Houma and Barbara Gaidry of  Lafayette announce
      the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Gaidry, to Travis Sanford, son of Kim
      Sanford and Betty Sanford of Houma.
          The couple will exchange vows at 7p.m. Jan. 18, 2002, at Holy Rosary
      Church.
          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curly Beard of
      Jennings, Lille Lea Gaidry of Houma and the late Wilson Gaidry H.
          She is a 1999 graduate of Northside of Lafayette High School.
          She is employed by Terrebonne Parish Connnunications District.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Sanford of
      Baton Rouge, Mr. and
 Mrs.Lee Pankratz of Texas, Mr. and Mrs.Sidney Lovell of
      Houma and the lateWalter Buchanan.
          He is a 1998 graduate of H.L.Bourgeois High School.
          He is employed by Terrebonne Parish Sheriffs Office.
     
     WATKINS-KLINGMAN
          Mr. and Mrs. William S. Watkins of Houma announce the engagement of
      their daughter, Erin Elizabeth Watkins, to James Anthony Klingman, son of Mr.
      and Mrs. E. Alfred Klingman II of Houma.
          The couple will exchange vows at 2p.m. Feb. 2, 2002, at St. Anthony of
      Padua Catholic Church in Houma.
          The future bride is the grand-daughter of the late Judge J. Louis Watkins
      Jr., Shirley Watkins, Charles C. Spence, M.D., Garnet Spence and Gloria Spence.
          She is a 1997 graduate of  Vandebilt Catholic High School and a 2001
      graduate of the University of Louisiana in Lafayette.
          The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Elie A. Klingman,
      Dorothy Klingman, the late Easton J. LeCompte Sr. and Grace LeCompte.
          He is 1996 graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School and a 2000
      graduate of the University of Louisiana in Lafayette.

      their daughter, Malissa Kaye Guidry, to Jason Edwin Pellegr
in, son of Shirley
      Cannon of Austin, Texas, and Hayes Pellegrin of Houma.

          The future bride is the grand-daughter of Elizabeth Girlinghouse, the late
      Allen Girlinghouse, Beulah Guidry and the late Lester Guidry Sr.
