The bride is the daughter of Ronald Joseph and Glenna Mondart Doucet She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mondart Jr. of Baton Rouge, Willie Mae Doucet of Galliano and the late Ejay Doucet. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Thibodeaux Sr. of Houma. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Badeaux of Houma, Phyllis Thibodeaux of Houma and the late Fred Thibodeaux. The Rev. Vic Messi na officiated at the ceremony. The bride wore a traditional white peau-de-soie gown embellished with white and silver floral embroidery and featured a lace-up back and a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of fresh calla lilies. Serving in the wedding were Miklyne Wren, matron of honor; Melissa Berry, Alison Breaux, Missy Chachere, Kellic Guidry, Michele LaCour, Kristine Mirts and Leigh Rivault, maids; and Logan Shay Wren, flower girl. Brent Thibodeaux, M.D., was the best man; William Bordelon, Ky Doucet, Jason Griffin, Craig LaBauve, Dustin Richard, James Saadi and Adam Schexnayder, groomsmen; Corky Amette, Stan Duval, Charles Love and Michael Wren, ushers; and Saje Michael Wren, ring bearer. A reception was held at the Country Club of Louisiana. The couple will reside in Houston, Texas. HESTER-CHAUVIN Susan Hester and Mark Chauvin were married at 2 p.m. April 21, 2001, at the Woodmen of the World Hall. The bride is the daughter of Linda Hester of Houma and the late Billy Hester. Parents of the groom are Billie Chauvin of Bourg and the late Anthony Chauvin. Judge John L Weimer III officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Joseph Hester. The bride wore a formal white gown with a fitted bodice of Alecon lace accented with spaghetti straps and a V-neckline with a flowing multiple layer organza silk skirt. Her pearl headband held a single shbulder-length veil of bridal illusion. She carried a traditional round bouquet of mixed silk flowers. Serving in the wedding were Phyllis Arceneaux, matron of honor; Donnie Scott best man; and Blake Whipple, ring bearer. A reception was given by the couple at the hall. The four-tier white frosted cake featured accents of pale pink spring flowers and ribbons. The groom's chocolate cake featured a golf theme. The couple will reside in Houma. SCHRADER-LANAUX Letitia C. Schrader of Houma and Christopher T. Lanaux of Thibodaux were married at 1 p.m. May 19, 2001, at First United Methodist Church in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Charley and Lucy Schrader of Houma. She is the granddaughter of the late Rev. J. C. and Ruth Bearden Schrader, and the late Jules and Addie Davis Guichet. Parents of the groom are Thomas and Rebecca Lanaux. He is the grandson of Rola nd and Gloria Wilkins of Metairie, and Shirley and Pierre Lanaux Sr. of Lucy. The Rev. Tim Lawson officiated at the ceremony in which the bride waa given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a formal ivory silk chiffon gown that featured a square neckline, long sleeves, a fitted bodice of re-embroidered lace embellished with seed pearls and a skirt of chiffon that flowed into a chapel-length train. Her headpiece was a comb that held a fingertip-length veil of bridal illusion decorated with lace and seed pearls to match the gown. She carried a traditional bouquet of an assortment of wild flowers including Louisiana iris, French lilac, lisianthus, blue bird roses and hydrangea. Serving in the wedding were Haley Kraemer, maid of honor; Jennifer Schrader Yeaw and Tracy Schrader Robinson, maids; and Tiffanie Robinson, flower girl. Travis M. Crawford officiated at the ceremony in which she was given in marriage by her father and her son, Dylan Ordoyne. He is the grandson of the late Sidney Duplantis Sr., Lydie Duplantis, and Leland and Elfie Dupre. The Rev. Thomas Harrell officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a formal white matte satin gown that featured a fitted sleeveless bodice with an embroidered waist and hem edged with braided trim, a box-pleated skirt and a skirt that flowed into a cathedral-length train. Her wreath of silk ribbon, pearls and rhinestones held a two-tier pencil-edged veil of bridal illusion. She carried a traditional round bouquet of fresh pastel roses tied with white ribbon.
