The bride is the daughter of Gary and Joan Plaisance of Houma. She is the granddaughter of Earon and Lydia Poincot, Taylor Plaisance and.the late Louise Plaisance. Parents of the groom are Charles and Charlene Porche of Houma. He is the grandson of Hennan and Agaths Rogers and the late Louis and Mabel Porche. The Rev. Thomas Bouterie officiated at the ceremony in which the bride, was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore an iv ory formal sleeveless satin gown with a bateau neckline and rum-pink embroidered floral accents around the neck, waist and apron-backed cathedral-length-train, which featured a row of satin roses trailed with a single row of satin-covered buttons. Her headpiece was a bun-wrap of frosted glass flowers that featured a fingertip-length veil of sparkle tulle, made by her mother, edged with a thin ivory ribbon. She carried an asymmetrical bouquet of various ivory and berry-colored flowers and greenery. Serving in the wedding were Joan Plaisance, matron of honor; Linda Accardo, maid of honor; Jamie Caldwell, Chantelle Terrebonne, Renee Malbrough, Kelly Rogers, Angelle Duplantis, Chrissy Crochet, Lynette Malbrough, Apryl Gadd and Eileen Porche, maids; Brooke Porche, junior maid; and Kayla Duplantis and Brooke Malbrough, flower girls. Timmy Porche was the best man; Dane Porche, Taylor Plaisance II, Robert Quatrevingt, Garrett Rogers, Paige Rogers, Rusty Bourg, Ronnie Malbrough Sr., Shane Gadd,Christian Porche and Gary Plaisance Sr., groomsmen; Ronnie Malbrough Jr., junior groomsman; Gary Plaisance III, ring bearer, and Jody Porche and Shane Poincot ushers. A reception was given by the couple's pa rents at Evergreen Cajun Center. The traditional three-tier cake was topped with a small ivory and berry bouquet. The groom's cake was red velvet and topped with chocolate-covered strawberries. The couple will reside in Houma. LANDRY-KIRBY Lisa Lynn Landry of Houma and Christopher Edward Kirby of Baton Rouge were married at 1 p.m. March 31, 2001, at Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge. The bride is the daughter of Curtis and Carolyn Landry of Houma. She is the granddaughter of Junior and Theresa Price of Houma, Dudley Landry of Pierre Part and the late Estelle Landry. Parents of the groom are Edward and Deborah Kirby of Covington. He is the grandson of Raymond and Phyllis Page of Baton Rouge, Edward and Shirley Kirby of Denham Springs, and Claude and Lorrene Elkins of Springfield. The Rev. Shawn Reine officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a simple, white dress and a rhinestone headband with attached veil. Her bouquet was a variety of fresh pink roses. Serving in the wedding were Mindy Landry and Tracy Landry, maids of honor; Paige Landry, Debbie Landry and Ta mi Legendre, maids; and Avery Searcy, flower girl. Edward Kirby and Raymond Page were the best men; Graham Landry, Steven Justin, Toby Dana and David Foret, groomsmen; Aiden Searcy, ring bearer; and Steve Louvierre and Jeff Griffin, ushers. A reception was given by the bride's parents at Classic Connections in Baton Rouge. The three-tier white cake was decorated with pink roses and daisies, and filled with chocolate creme. The groom's chocolate, basket-weave cake was topped with straw-berries. The couple will reside in Orlando, Fla.
