The bride is the daughter of Justilia Dupre of Montegut and the late Alphonse Dupre Sr. She is the grand-daughter of the late Cecila and Wilfred Authement Sr., and the late Frank and Emma Dupre. Parents of the groom are Barbara and Terry Bourg of Montegut. He is the grandson of the late Velma and Enis White Sr., and the late Josephine and Venis Bourg. The Rev. Frederic Brunet officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her brother, Alphonse Dupre Jr. Th e bride wore a white organza sleeveless formal gown that featured spaghetti straps, a fitted bodice of organza detailed with Venise lace appliques and a dropped waist, a flared skirt edged with jeweled stitching and Venise appliques and a tiffany-length train. Her matching wrap was edged with Venise appliques. Her wreath of pearls and crystal sheld a pouf of illusion and flowed to a double-tiered fingertip-length veil of bridal illusion. She carried a clutch French-style bouquet of six white roses and six ocean mist roses accented with baby's breath. Serving in the wedding were Earline Matherne, matron of honor; Tonya Matherne, maid of honor; Mikki Filer, Kayla LeBlanc, Kourtney Robichaux. Raetta Verdin, Donya Bourgeois, Monica Rivera, Krstine Scott and Nancy Thibodeaux, maids; Kandi Matherne, Samantha Himel and Tiffany Matherne, junior maids; and Ariel Rodrigue, flower girl. A reception was given by family and friends at the Ward 7 Cit izens Club in Chauvin. The seven-tier traditional white cake featured a four-armed lead cake stand that supported the first level of cake with a single column rising from the center to elevate the remaining tiers and was topped with a traditional bridal couple ornament. The couple will reside in Montegut. GUIDRY-TRAHAN Alexis Ann Guidry and Dane Paul Trahan, both of Houma, were married at 7 p.m. June 7, 2001, at the home of the bride's parents. The bride is the daughter of Chrisa nd Patsy Chandler Boone and Duffy and Donna Guidry. A justice of the peace officiated at the ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a sleeveless formal white satin sheath gown that featured crystal beading around the arms and a chapel-length train edged with the same crystal beading. The couple will reside in Lafayette. SIMS-THOMPSON Rita Ann Sims and Craig Alton Thompson were married Dec. 2, 2000, at the Jesus Neve r Fails Christian Center in New Orleans. The bride is the daughter of Samuel James and the late Lorraine Sims. She is the granddaughter of Ozelin and Hattie James, and the late Thomas and Lula Sims. Parents of the groom are the Rev. Norwood Thompson Jr. and Phillipa Heath Thompson. He is the grandson of the late Rev. Norwood Thompson Sr. and Valtoria Thompson, and the late Arthur Heath and Malvina Breaud. The Rev. The bride wore a fitted sheath formal gown of ivory matte satin, Venise lace and Organza. The gown featured a bodice of pearled Venise lace, accented with detachable organza sleeves and a simple detachable train of organza trimmed with Venice lace. She carried a light bouquet of ivory roses and calla lilies accented with gold beads and ivory lace. Her golden tiara headpiece was accented with diamonds and held a shoulder-length veil of bridal illusion. Serving in the wedding were Shamell M. Sims, matron of honor; Lynette H. Brown, maid of honor; Kellie Hayes, Ranata Harris, Evangeline Combre, Pamela Love and Shanell Robinson, maids; Chrysanthemum Harvey and Yanosh Harvey, tea girls; and Sydney Thompson, flower girl. A reception was held at the TZO Palace in New Orleans. The four-tier ivory cake was decorated with a double staircase surrounded by roses, a fountain at the base, a gazebo with a bridal couple in the middle and was topped with a with a crystal and gold heart with a crossed accented with fold tips hanging from the center with two doves facing each other at the base of the heart. The groom's chocolate cake featured a motorcycle motif. The couple will reside in Houma.
