Dufrene Jr. were married May 5, 2001, at the Larose Civic Center. The bride is the daughter of Linda and Donald Knecht Sr. of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of the late Nelle and Francis Plaisance Sr., and the late Harold and Le Irma Knecht. Parents of the groom are Elaine and Michael Dufrene Sr. of Larose. He is the grandson of Loyman and Marie Allemand of Larose, Alton Dufrene of Gheens and the late Mae Dufrene. The Rev. Lois Gautreaux officiated at the ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. Serving in the wedding were Keira Knecht maid of honor; Kim Knecht, Sara Richard, Corynn and Lauren Plaisance, Angie Boutte, Rachael Wilson, Wendy Semper and Michelle Worley, maids; and Jordan and Hannah Knecht, flower girls. Knecht Jr., Jason Worley and Chris altan, ushers; and Bryce Forrestier and Ethan Allemand, ring bearers. A reception was held at the civic centers. The couple will reside in Lafayette. CROCHET-TRAHAN Tina Davis Crochet of Houma and Mike Joseph Trahan of Chauvin were married, at 2 p.m. April 14, 2001, at First Baptist Church in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Norma Savoie Davis of Houma and Robert Wayne Davis of Natchez, Miss. She is the granddaughter of Walterine Savoie of Houma, the late Claude Savoie, Nell Davis Faust of Natchez and the late Mark Davis. Parents of the groom are Houston Trahan of Chauvin and the late Mayola Rodrigue Trahan. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Trahan and the late Mentor and Fabiola Neil Rodrigue. The Rev. Glenn We ntworth officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her son, Troy Michael Crochet. The bride wore an off-white satin formal gown that featured a short-sleeve fitted beaded bodice trimmed with rum pink satin and rum pink roses. Her hat of off-white satin trimmed with rum pink roses held a fingertip-length veil of bridal illusion. Serving in the wedding were Kathy Reilly and Debbie Hall, matrons of honor; Kimberly Reilly, maid of honor; Rebecca Trahan, Angela Gravois and Jessica Reilly, maids; Kayla Gravois, junior maid; and Tilda Reilly, flower girl. Troy Michael Crochet was the best man; Patrick Reilly, Vern Hall, Nicholas Luke, Ryan LeCompte and Justin Reilly, groomsmen; Troy Crochet and Justin Reilly, ushers', and Michael Wallace, ring bearer. A reception was given by the couple at the Houma Shrine Club. The four-tier traditional cake was decorated with roses, hearts and cupids. The groom's cake featured a fishing scene. The couple will reside in Houma. LEBOEUF-SEVIN Rene LeBoeuf and Webster Joey Sevin III were married at 7 p.m. June1, 2001, at the Woodmen of the World Building in Chauvin. The brid e is the daughter of Bennie and Cathy LeBoeuf of Montegut. She is the granddaughter of the late Easton and Vivian LeBoeuf, Vivian Broussard and the late Keith Broussard. Parents of the groom are Carol and Webster Sevin Jr. of Bourg. He is the grandson of the late Lena and Webster Sevin sr., Elfrey Falgout and the late Loney Falgout. The Rev. J. Steven Mooneyham officiated at the ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a traditional satin formal gown that featured a fitted princess bodice of re-embroidered lace embellished with sequins and pearls, a sweetheart neckline, long tulle sleeves and a full skirt that flowed into a cathedral-length train. Her floral wreath headpiece of satin flowers detailed with clusters of beads and pearls held a double-tier fingertip-length veil of bridal illusion. She carried a cascading bouquet of red and white roses accented with greenery. Serving in the wedding were Stacy Hutchinson; maid of honor; and Lilly Young, flower girl. Eric Valure was the best man; Brent LeBoeuf and Christopher Sevin, ushers; and Tyler Valure, ring bearer. The four-tier white cake was decorated with cascading red and white roses and topped with a traditional bride and groom. The groom's chocoate cake featured a fishing theme. The couple will reside in Korea, where the bride is currently serving in the U.S. Army. NEWBOLD-JOSEPH Princess E. Newbold of Cut Off and Alvin P. Joseph Jr. were married June 9, 2001, at New Mount Zion Baptist Church in Cut Off. The bride is the daughter of Prince Newbold Sr. and Lois Berryhill Newbold. She is the granddaughter of the late Mack and Hazel Granger Berryhill. Parents of the groom are the late Alvin P. Joseph Sr. and the late Dolores Williams Joseph. He is the grandson of the late Elbert and Lucille Williams and the late Willie and Alonia Joseph. The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
