The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Philips of Baton Rouge. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Prather and the late Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Phillips. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Thibodeaux. He is the grandson of Sadie Carpenter and Shirley Thibodeaux of Houma and the late Joseph Thibodeaux. The Rev. Kenneth Sneed officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her parents. Serving in the wedding were Jody Penn Moffett of Baton Rouge, matron of honor; sisters of the groom Claire Thibodeaux Pellegrin and Katie Thibodeaux of Houma,Tracey Whisenhunt of Baton Rouge and Kori Guillory of LaPlace, maids. Chris Coyle of Humble, Texas, was the best man. Brother of the groom Ross Thibodeaux of Houma, brother of the bride Brent Phillips of Baton Rouge, Karl Wilson Jr. of Schriever and Jason Bourgeois of Gibson, groomsmen; Jeremy Harding of Pride, Andrew Gross of LaPlace, Bobby Enloe of Baton Rouge and Stephen Prather Jr. of Houston, Texas, ushers; and Brent Phillips and Ross Thibodeaux, candle lighters. The reader was Joseph Thibodeaux, uncle of the groom. The bride wore a traditional white sleeveless satin gown that featured a fitted bodice and scoop neckline with a basque waistline, all embellished with pearls and iridescent sequins over alencon lace. The skirt was full and sweeping and ended with a monarch train also embellished with pearls and sequins. Her headpiece was a pearl and sequin covered tiara with a finger-tip-length veil scattered with pearls. She wore a single strand of pearls that her mother wore in her wedding. She carried a cascade bouquet of white lilies, white roses and English ivy. The bridesmaids wore premier-blue strapless satin floor-length gowns with caviar beading at the top. The church sanctuary was deco-rated with aisle arrangements of brass hurricane globe candelabras with white illusion over satin bows to the floor. Two altar arrangements were done in white delphinium, Casablanca lilies, star gazer lilies, stock and greenery. The altar was draped in white tulle illusion across with a unity candle standing centerpiece below and candelabras across the front. Two pews held white roses in memory of the couple's late grandparents. Following the ceremony, the flowers from the wedding and reception were distributed to a local hospital and nursing home. Music during the ceremony included "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," which was performed as the grandparents entered the church; "Canon in D Minor," which was performed as the couple's mothers entered the church; "Trumpet Voluntary," which was performed as the bridesmaids and groomsmen entered the church; "There is Love," which was performed during the lighting of the unity candle; and "The Wedding March." All the selections were played by organis t Dan Talbot, uncle of the groom, except for"Tere is Love," which was sung by soloist Lawrence Breaux, uncle of the groom. The bride and groom traveled from the church to Boudreaux's of Baton Rouge for the reception in a white limousine. The wedding party was greeted at the reception by rose streamers indicating the letters "P" and "K"' The guest book was flanked by two large floral arrangements aside the bride's wedding portrait on a lighted brass standing easel. The floral selections in each room were white roses, lilies and greenery. Lighted ficus trees lined the serving rooms by the buffets, carving tables, Chinese, Italian and seafood bars. A 4-foot swan ice sculpture sat atop the fruit buffet, underscored by lighting and mirrored tiles. The reception was given by the bride's parents. The bride's cake was a four-tier basket-weave design with layers of buttercream, strawberry and rasp-berry. The layers were separated by fresh lilies and placed atop a Precious Moments bride and groom figurine. The groom's cake was two-tier chocolate with tuxedo straw berries sweeping down the layers into the mirrors below. Music at the reception was provided by Sundance. The couple departed the celebration amongst bubbles blown by well-wishers and were taken away in a horse-drawn carriage. The couple honeymooned in Maui and Oahu and will reside in Pineville, where the groom is an engineer with Beta Corp. and the bride is a representative with BellSouth. The bride is a 1995 graduate of Tara High School in Baton Rouge and a 1998 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. The groom is a 1995 graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School in Houma and a 2000 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. KIMBLE-ROBICHAUX Michelle Rae Kimble of Houma and Jacob Joseph Robichaux of Houma were married at 7 p.m. June 22, 2001 at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. The bride is the daughter of Carl E.and Judy M. Kimble of Houma. She is the granddaughter of Doris Muhl of Marrero, the late Williarn Muhl, Ruth Gray of Houma and the late K C. Kimble. Parents of the groom are Howard J. and Wanda B. Robichaux of Houma. He is the grandson of Ira Pete and Julie Barnes of Donner, Eula Robichaux of Houma and the late Howard Robichaux. The Rev. Caesar A Silva officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in ma rriage by her father. The bride wore a formal white sleeveless gown that featured a fitted lace bodice with a square neckline and a skirt decorated with appliques that flowed into a chapel-length train. Her matching headpiece held a fingertip-length veil of bridal illusion embellished with scattered pearls. She carried a traditional bouquet of white roses accented with greenery. Serving in the wedding were Casie K Adams, matron of honor; Melissa Chassion, maid of honor; Kelley Dupre, Rachel Hogerstad, Jamie Robichaux, Kelly Crochet Shanna LeBlanc, maids; Ashlyn Nicole Kimble, junior maid; and Alexander Morgan, flower girl. Howard Robichaux was the best man; Clint Adams, Pat Theriot, Jessie LeBlanc, John Barnes, Chad Monroe and Ray Luke, groomsmen; Chase Adams, junior groomsman; and Jace Robichaux, ring bearer. A reception was given by the couple at the Houma Shriners Club. The traditional three-tier cake featured four satellite cakes and was decorated with white roses, greenery and bordered in a leaf petal design. The couple will reside in Donner. HEBERT-GRABERT Tina Marie Hebert and Randy Paul Grabert were married June 22, 2001,at St. Joseph Co-cathed ral in Thibodaux. The bride is the daughter of Leanda B. Hebert of Thibodaux. THIBODEAUX-CHAMPAGNE Neige Louise Thibodeaux and Tracy John Champagne were married April 20, 2001, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Th e bride is the daughter of Toni Jo Guidry Thibodeaux of Chauvin and Gene A Thibodeaux of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Matie L. Exposito and Stanley J. Her pearl and crystal bun-wrap held a double-tier veil of bridal illusion. She carried a traditional round clutch bouquet of antique peach roses and assorted spring flowers tied with sheer antique yellow ribbons. It was decorated with antique peach roses and assorted spring flowers and topped with a bridal couple. The groom's red velvet cake featured a hunting scene. The couple will reside in Pointe-aux-Chenes. GRANGER-SEAY Karley G. Granger of Bourg and Donovan Seay of Chauvin were married at 6 p.m. June 2, 2001, at First United Methodist Church in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Granger. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. U.T Granger, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bourg. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Seay. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Rhodes, Robert Seay and Jackie Hutchinson. The Rev. Ronald Bergeron officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a formal sleeveless white satin A-line gown that featured spaghetti straps, a fitted pearl beaded bodice and a detachable train. Her matching headpiece held along veil decorated with scattered pearls. Serving in the wedding were Christy Hughes, maid of honor; Jessica Granger and Tammy Voisin, maids; and Amy Bourg, flower girl. The four-tier white cake featured strawberry, pineapple, lemon, pecan praline, Bavarian cream and coconut filling and was decorated with pearls and doves. The groom's cake featured a hockey theme. The couple will reside in Baton Rouge. MARCEL-ROGERS Susan Ann Marcel of Houma and Ryan Joseph Rogers of Houma were married at 5:30 p.m. July 15, 2001, at First United Methodist Church in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Ray John and Judy Songe Marcel of Houma. She is the granddaughter of the late Aaron J. Marcel, Rita Lapeyrouse Songe of Houma and the late Warren J. Songe. Parents of the groom are Wanda Ellender Rogers and the late "Randy" F Rogers of Miami, Fla. He is the grandson of Ava D. Henry of Cocoa Beach, Fla., the late Joseph Henry, Lee Ellender of Houma and the late Helen Waguespack Ellender. The Rev. Toby Chabert officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a white formal satin sleeveless gown with a scoop neck-line, a paneled fitted bodice with V-shaped pearl appliques and two white roses at the waist and a chapel length sweep train. Her crown of satin and roses and pearls held a double-tier veil of white bridal tulle. She carried a clutch bouquet of one dozen white roses accented with bridal wreath, French blue roses and sprays of blue bells tied with sparkling ribbons. A reception was given by the bride's parents at the Houma Municipal Auditorium. The traditional three-tier cake was decorated with cascading blue roses. The chocolate groom's cake featured an airbrushed picture of the couple and their son. The couple will reside in Houma.
