The bride is the daughter of Richard Sr. and Arlene Miller of Creole. Parents of the groom are Jake and Esther Billiot of Pointe-aux-Chenes. The Rev. Joseph McGrath officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a two-piece matte satin formal gown that featured a hug-the-shoulder V-neckline fitted bodice with a basque waistline adorned with a floral design of hand-sewn sea pearls, sequins and bugle beads. The back of the gown featured wedding buttons down the chapel-length train. She carried a cascading bouquet of assorted silk white flowers accented with greenery and pearl sprays. Serving in the wedding were Clair Thomson, matron of honor; Erica Nunez, maid of , honor; Ginger Broussard, Teffany Miller and Angel Lyons, maids; miniature bride, Celeste Billiot; and Devon Hebert, flower girl. Arthur "T-joe" Billiot was the best man; Jeremy Lyons, Brian Racca, Jacco Billiot and Mark Miller, groomsmen; Clint Miller, miniature groom; Terrell Thibodeaux and Richie Miller, ushers; and Buddy Miller, ring bearer. A reception was given by the couple's family and friends at the Carnerson Mulfi-Purpose Building. The five-tier white frosted cake was decorated with fresh flowers. The groom's two-layer red velvet cake was white frosted. The couple will reside in Grand Chenier. VIGUERIE-SALSBURY Anne Celeste Viguerie of Houma and Joel Briant Salsbury of Baton Rouge were married at sunset, July 7, 2001, at Cove Beach, Paradise Island, Bahamas. The bride is the daughter of John and Connie Viguetie of Houma. She is the granddaug hter of Vallie Viguerie of Montegut. Parents of the groom are Booney Salsbury and the late Dallas Salsbury. The Rev. Dianne Coverly officiated at the ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her parents. The bride wore a formal ivory cloque beaded gown that featured a V-neckline, crisscrossed straps and a fishtail short train. Her handmade seashell barrette fashioned by her mother held a fingertip-length veil of bridal illusion. She carried clutch bouquet of ivory roses and a lace handkerchief carried by her mother at her wedding. Serving in the wedding were April Guidry and Jessica Chauvin, maids of honor; and Allison Barker, flower girl. Joseph Wink III and Bruce Carraway were the best men; and Michael Mule, usher. A reception was given by the bride's parents at Diamondhead Country Club on July 21. The four-tier peach round almond-flavored cake was decorated with white chocolate seashells and coral. The groom's chocolate cake featured a scuba diver mask and flag motif. The couple will reside in Diamondhead, Miss. PIERCE-PREVOST Christina L. Pierce and Daniel P Prevost were married at 1 p.m. July 14, 2001, at An nunziata Catholic Church. The bride is the daughter of Annette L and Daniel L. Foster of Houma, and Royce J. and May Pierce of Mississippi. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Ledet, and Lena and Norris Pierce of Raceland. Lonnie Cheraniie officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a formal white sleeveless A-line gown of white organza that featured a fitted scoop neck line bodice of beaded and embroidered lace with triple spaghetti straps, and a detachable cathedral-length trail embellished with matching lace and beads. Her headband of white embroidered lace was sprinkled with pearls and sequins and held a double-tier veil of bridal organza edged with rolled ribbon. She carried a presentation bouquet of calla lilies accenteded with a touch of lavender, tied with sheer ivory ribbon and entwined with her, grandmother's rosary. DUPRE-FIELDS Meredith Cecile Dupre and Kyle Anthony Fields, both of Houma, were married at 1 p.m. April 21, 2001, at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. The bride is the daughter of Lance and Rachael Dupre. She is the grand-daughter of Esta Dupre of Houma, the late Noble Dupre, and the late Joseph and Cecile Dupre of Houma. Parents of the groom are James and Sandra Fields. He is the grandson of the late Albert and Aline Fields, the late Raymond LeBouef and the late Annalee Hebert. The Rev. Caesar Silva officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a white peau satin formal A-line gown that featured a fitted bodice of beaded schiffli appliques, a square neckline and a skirt that flowed into a detachable chapel-length train. She carried an English garden clutch bouquet of pink Anna roses accented with heather and greenery. MECHE-SCARDINO Mandy Marie Meche and Frank Christopher Scardino were married May 31, 2001, at Sandals Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. The bride is the daughter of Danny Meche of Arnaudville and Angela Ross, Meche of Oberlin. She is granddaughter of Nolan and Audrey Meche of New Iberia. Parents of the groom are Adam and Betty Babin of Thibodaux and the late Frank J. Scardino Jr. He is the grand-son of Frank Sr. and Grace Scardino of New Orleans, and Leonard Sr. and May Amedee of Thibodaux. He is a 1992 graduate of Thibodaux High School and a graduate of South Louisiana Technical Institute. He is employed as an engineer at Weatherford in New Orleans. The bride attends Nicholls State University. The couple will reside in Thibodaux.
