The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Artie G. Angeron of Houma. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivy Angeron of Patterson, Antoinette Hammock of Dunnellon Fla., and the late Elmer Hammock. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Boquet Jr. of Houma. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Boquet Sr. of Bourg. The Rev. Rene' Monette officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. Th e bride wore a white gown of duchess satin with off-the-shoulder sleeves and an empire bodice of alencon lace with pearls and sequins. The a-line satin skirt was embellished with pearl lace appliques and flowed into a cathedral train. Her pearl and silver filigree tiara held a double-tier veil of illusion. She carried a cascade of white roses and alstromerias with white satin ribbon. Serving in the wedding were Angela Houston, matron of honor, Erica Boquet, Ethel Boquet, Jennifer Veazey and Nancy Hammock, maids; Heather Boquet, junior maid; and Sarah Angeron, flower girl. Travis Boquet was the best man; Noah Angeron, James Hargenrader, Stephen Powers and Scott Rhodes, groomsmen; Calen Angeron, junior groomsman; and Brandon Boquet, ring bearer. A reception was given by the bride's parents at the church fellow-ship hall. The bride's cake was a three-tier white confection with white roses. The couple will reside in Houma. MATHERNE-STODDARD Jaime Matherne of Bourg and Jason Stoddard of Bayou Blue were married at 2 p.m. June 2, 2001, at Bayou Blue Assembly of God Church in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Matherne of Bourg. She is the grandda ughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Henry of Houma, Nancy Matherne of Bourg and the late Roy Matherne. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Stoddard of Bayou Blue. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Stoddard of Houma, and Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Babin of Bayou Blue. The Rev. Patrick Thompson officiated at the double ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a white peau de soirsatin floor-length ball gown with a square neck beaded bodice and off-the-shoulder sleeves. The skirt featured a detachable train. Her headpiece was a tiara with a double-tier veil and she carried a traditional cascade of fresh anna roses, stephanotes and mixed greenery. Serving in the wedding were Kristie Matherne, Tamara Matherne, Kelly Matherne, Amy Michel Crochet and Robyn Michel Lirette, maids; and Heidi Matherne was junior maid. Brian Stoddard, Nick Scott, Joshua Bergeron, Jared Cobb, and Jocob Commardelle were the groomsmen; Byron Stoddard, ring bearer; and Matthew Matherne and Philip Martin, ushers. A reception was given by the brides' parents at Bayou Blue Recreation Center. Th bride's cake was a four-tier multi-flavored white wed ding confection adorned with lattice work, ruffles, pearls and iridescent doves. The groom's cake featured a deer hunting scene. The couple will reside in Houma. LAWRENCE-BLANCHARD Heather Marie Lawrence and RayPaul Blanchard were married at 2 p.m. July 28, 2001, at Evergreen Cajun Center. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wayne Lawrence Sr. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Zeringue Chaisson of Houma, the late Sterling V. Chaisson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Lawrence. Parents of the groom are Thelma Blanchard of Houma and the late George J. Blanchard. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Blanchard Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elie Pierre Pellegrin. Justice of the Peace Kenneth Hamner officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a formal white sleeveless princess-line satin gown. The bodice was embellished with crystal beading featuring a sweet-heart neckline with an empire waist-line. The back of the gown featured a low V with beaded inserts, which flowed into a semi-cathedral train. Her head band of white satin was accented with pearls and crystal beading and held a double-tier veil of bridal illusion. She carried a garden clutch of anna roses accented with baby's breath. Serving in the wedding were Hayley Chaisson, maid of honor; Ronald Blanchard, best man; Parker Benjamin Lawrence, ring bearer; and Joshua Chauvin and Shane Blanchard, ushers. A reception was given by the brides' parents at Evergreen Cajun Center. The traditional cake was a three-tier white frosted basket weave decorated with fresh roses. The groom's cake was chocolate and decorated with a billards table. The couple will reside in Houma. LEBOEUF-ARCENEAUX Courtney Maiie LeBoeuf and Mark Paul Arceneaux were married at 7 p.m. Aug. 3, 2001, at the Holiday Inn in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Gail LeBoeuf of Dulac. She is the granddaughter of Ethel Luke of Dulac, the late Lawrence Luke, Rita and Davis LeBoeuf of Houma, and Ethel and Robert Bourg of Dulac. Parents of the groom are Louis and Brenda Arceneaux of Bourg. He is the grandson of Madelyn Callahan of Houma, the late Fay Callahan, and the late Louise and Davis Arceneaux. GUENIOT-POLITZ Lisa Ann Gueniot and Dale Joseph Politz, D.D.S., were married at 7 p.m. April 20, 2001, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene J. Gueniot Sr. of Houma. She is the granddaughter of Eula Gueniot of Houma, the late Louis Gueniot Sr., Leteia Michel of Houma and the late Bernie Michel. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. McCue, S.C., officiated the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a white, fully-beaded fitted gown with a sweet heart neckline. The gown was embellished with alencon lace, pearls and iridescent sequences. The detachable train of organza was enhanced with the same alencon lace, pearls, and sequences. The bride wore a headpiece of alencon lace and pearls that flowed into a two-tier veil of illusion tulle.
