The bride is the daughter of Larry and Darlene Freeman of Houma. She is the granddaughter of Junius and Beverly Marcel of Houma and Horace and Dorothy Blanchard of Chauvin. Parents of the groom are Nouga and Terry Naquin of Bourg. He is the grandson of Jenny Matherne of Bourg, the late Lee Matherne, and Victor and Lucretia Naquin of Montegut. The Rev. Allan Lirette officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her parents. T he bride wore a formal ivory strapless gown with detachable train with an embroidered bodice attached to an A-line skirt with matching embroidered shawl and gloves. She carried a bouquet of magnolia flowers accented with greenery. Serving in the wedding were Dia Blanchard and Martha Powell, maids of honor, Candance Thibodeaux, Carlee Sanford and Angela Campo, maids; Courtney Matherne, junior maid; and Haley Hornsby, flower girl. Kurt Bonin was the best man, Tyler Naquin, Seth Rodrigue, Dan Killian and Jason Fernandez, groomsmen, Cody Marcel, ring bearer, and Leland Blanchard and Lee Stevens, ushers. A reception was given by the couple's families at East Park Recreational Center. The traditional cake was a four-tiered fondent cake. The groom's cake was red velvet in the shape of a Playstation. The couple will reside in Houma. LYONS-WARD Laurie Suzanne Lyons and F. Roch Ward were married at 2 p.m. Aug.12, 2001, at Cuvier Park in San Diego, Calif. The bride is the daughter of Linette Leever and Mel Lyons. Parents of the groom are Gayle Ward and Larry Ward of Houma. The Rev. Evan Lauer officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. Serving in the wedding were Michelle Yeager, maid of honor; Renee' Launiere, Yuki Lyons, Mindy Kraus-Callison and Elaine Grower, maids; and Elizabeth Ward and Whitney Ward, flower girls. A reception was given by the couple and their families at The Sunset Room in Manna Village, San Diego. The couple will reside in Mission Beach, San Diego. AYCOCK-WOODARD Andree Michelle Aycock and William Richard Woodard were married at 11 a.m. Sept. 1, 2001, at First United Methodist Church in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Victoria Aycock of Houma. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Aycock Zappa, the late Gaston Aycock, Peter Zappa, and the late Jack and Jacqueline Walker. Parents of the groom are John and Juana Woodard of Houma. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James A. Woodard, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ollie A. Fairley. The Rev. Tim Lawson officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a formal ivory satin sleeveless gown with a fitted embroidered floral design bodice with an A-line skirt that flowed into a small, flowing train. Her matching headpiece held a fingertip-length veil of double-tier bridal illusion. She carried a presentation bouquet of mixed fresh fall wild flowers accented with greenery. A reception Was given by the bride's parent's at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. The traditional cake was two-tiered and featured mixed fresh wild flowers. The groom's cake was a two-tier Rhett Butler design. The couple will reside in St. Louis, Mo. GRIFFIN-LEJEUNE Patty Dugas Griffin and Gregory Paul LeJeune were marned at 5 p.m. May 5, 2001, at the Woodmen of the World Hall in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Dugas of Houma and Claudette Dugas of Houma. She is the granddaughter of the late Addie Lee, Hazel Domangue of Houma Eora Dugas of Houma and the late Lucius Dugas Sr. Parents of the groom are Charles LeJeune Sr. of Thibodaux and the late Jeanette LeJeune. He is the grandson of the late James and Leah Lejeune, and the late Joseph and Elvidge Brown. Justice of the Peace Yogi Naquin officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a white satin gown that featured a fitted bodice accented with pearls and rose appliques. The skirt flowed into a chapel-length train edged with appliqued roses and pearls. Her tiara of pearls and roses held a fingertip-length multi-tier veil of silk illusion. She carried a bouquet of tulips, roses and fresh spring flowers Serving in the wedding were Norma Dinger, matron of honor; Rhonda Anders, maid of honor; and Bridget LeJeune, flower girl. Hutch Domangue was best man; Charles LeJeune Jr., groomsman; Jeremy Griffin, Joshua Griffin and Justin Griffin, ushers. A reception was given at theWoodmen of the World Hall, in Houma. The three-tier white cake was decorated with fresh spring flowers topped with a white porcelain cherub vase filled with fresh spring flowers. The groom's cake featured a deer-hunting theme. The couple will reside in Thibodaux.
