The bride is the daughter of Danny and Sydney Domangue of Houma. She is the granddaughter of the late Paul and Josie Domangue, and the late John and Sydney Buck. Parents of the groom are Gary and Peggy Shiflett of Hadley, Mass. He is the grandson of the late John and Margaret Shiflett, and the late Charles and Irene Valcourt The Rev. Alex Francisco officiated at the double ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her fath er. The bride wore a formal white satin gown that featured. a sleeveless empire styled bodice of chiffon embroidered with lace daisies. The skirt flowed into a chapel length train with satin-covered buttons down the back of the dress. A crown of silver and crystal daisies-held her elbow-length veil of biidal illusion edged in narrow satin ribbon. She carried a clutch bouquet of fresh white lilies and daisies. Serving in the wedding were Meagan Domangue, junior maid; and Sarah Cagle and Kathryn Elsey, flower girls. Brennan Domangue and Hayden Cagle were the ring bearers; and Paul Domangue, usher. A reception was given by the bride's parents at Bayou Vue Cafe. The two-tier white wedding cake featured a basket weave design and was decorated with daisies. The groom's cake depicted a triathlon theme. The couple will reside in Lafayette. CLEMENT-PEVETO Farrah Clement of Houma and Scott Peveto of Houma were married at 7 p.m. March 10, 2001 at First United Methodist Church in Houma. The bride is the daughter of Susan and George Clement Jr. of Houma and Susan Cash of California. She is the granddaughter of Betty and the late George Clement Sr. of Houma and George and Margie Cash of Arkansas. Father of the groom is David Peveto of Houma. He is the grandson of Pat and the late Jerry Ledet Sr. of Houma, and Milton and the late Jeanette Peveto of Houma. The Rev. Tim Lawson officiated at the ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. Serving in the wedding were Jade LeBlanc, maid of honor; Kelly Peveto and Allison Weathersby, maids; Brooke Clement, junior maid; and Kayleigh Bergeron and Danielle Johnson, flower girls. Josh Griffin was the best man, Danny LeBocuf and Chris Smith, groomsmen; Timmy Landry and Craig Clement ushers; and Craig Clement Jr., ring bearer. A reception was given at the Evergreen Cajun Center. The couple will reside in Houma. BARRERA-HARP Michelle Barrera of Raceland and Kevin Harp of Bourg were married at 1 p.m. Jan. 20, 2001 at St Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jurentino Barrera of Raceland. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank DeLeon of Raceland, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Barrera. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Harp of Bourg. He is the grandson of Neva and the late Alcee Boquet of Bourg, and Claire Blanchard of Humble, Texas, and the late Leo Harp. The Rev. Larry Cavell officiated at the double ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a formal white gown that featured a heavily beaded fitted bodice accented with pearls and sequins, short sleeves, lace appliques and beadwork accents on hem of full skirt and a cathedral length train. Her bun-wrap of pearls held a double tier cathedral length veil of bridal illusion. Serving in the wedding were Mary Cortez, matron of honor; Leslie Barrera, Stephanie Harp, Denise Harp, Dawn Barrera and Kelly Barrera, maids; and Rebecca Barrera and Crystal Boquet junior maids. Erich Harp was the best man; Jeffrey Price, Timothy Brunet, Juventino Barrera Jr., Ramon Barrera and Daniel Barrera, groomsmen; and Ritchie Cortez, usher. A reception was given by the couple's families at the American Legion Hall in Raceland. The three-tier cascading white cake featured strawberry and Bavarian cream filling with red tulips wrapping around the tiers to the top of the cake. The double layer groom's vanilla iced cake featured strawberry filling. The couple will reside in Warner Robins, Ga.
