The date preceding the announcement is the date of posting on the WWW. ============================= September 28. 2004 10:33AM Richard-Bilyeu [Photo] Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas (Jessica Richard) Bilyeu Jessica Clair Richard of Raceland and Nicholas Paul Bilyeu of Golden Meadow were married at 7 p.m. Aug. 27, 2004, at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Raceland. The bride is the daughter of Clifton and Alice Richard of Raceland. She is the granddaughter of the late Clifton and Genevieve Richard and the late Steve and Cherita Dandry. Parents of the groom are Jimmie and Suzette Bilyeu of Golden Meadow. He is the grandson of Jimmie and Anna Mae Bilyeu of New Hebron and Ralph and Joyce Lagarde of Larose. The Rev. Danny Poche' officiated at the double-ring ceremony in which the bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a strapless two-piece gown of Italian satin with A-line skirt and organza overlay adorned with hand beaded alencon lace. Her headpiece held her double-tier fingertip length illusion veil. She carried a bouquet of magnolias and red roses accented with ivory, pearls and ribbons and her great-grandmothers rosary. Serving in the wedding were Sondra Harris, matron of honor; Camee Richard, Katrina Teeter, Karly Estay, Stephanie Boudreaux and Melanie Folse, maids; and Katie Folse and Cydni Compeaux, flower girls. Nicholas Schouest was the best man; Scott Richard, John Bilyeu, Samuel Bilyeu, Gary Boudreaux Jr. and Kevin Folse, groomsmen; Joseph Harris, ring-bearer; and Kristoffer Tsukroff and Clarence "Scooter" Harris, ushers. A reception was given by the bride and groom and the bride's parents at the Raceland Lion's Club. The 10-tier square white butter cream wedding cake with mixed fillings was set on an octagonal board and topped with modern art "Kiss." The groom's cake was a pound cake decorated with tuxedoed strawberries. The couple will reside in Raceland and Norfolk, Va., where the groom is stationed.
