Daigle Whitney Belanger Funeral services for Whitney Joseph Belanger, aged 56 years were conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, from the Chauvin Funeral home to St. Francis de Sales church with interment in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. Mr. Belanger, member of an old Terrebonne family, died in a New Orleans hospital at 13:26 (sic) p.m. Tuesday, July 11, after an illness of approximately seven months. His home was located at 120 Ruth Street, Houma. Surviving, besides his wife and seven children, are his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Belanger, who are in their 80's. His widow is the former Ida Rhodes and the children are one son, Whitney Jr; six daughters, Mrs. A. P. Prejean, Mrs. Del LaGrange, Mrs. Clay Domangue, Mrs. Jimmie Domangue, Miss Gertrude Belanger of Houma, and Mrs. Larry Schavio of Houston. One brother, Anthony of Houston and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Crochet and Miss Agnes Belanger of Houma, also survive. Paul bearers were A. P.
