J. DUPLANTIS Funeral services for August Joseph Duplantis, aged 71, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, November 24, from the residence on Little Caillou to Our Lady of Prompt Succor church for religious rites and interment in St. Elie cemetery with the Chauvin Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Duplantis died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 23, at his residence. He is survived by his widow, the former Leola Lapelle, three sons, Lee of Little Caillou, Luc of Houma and Earl of Thibodaux; one daughter, Ms. Isaac of Schriever, and one sister, Miss Meloe Duplantis of Little Caillou. ============================ Submitted by: Nancy Wright The Houma Daily Courier, November 30, 1951, page 7, col. 3 SAM FAZZIO Sam Fazzio, 39, died at 8:30 a.m. November 25, in Pineville, La. Funeral services were conducted from the Chauvin Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. Monday, November 26, to St. Francis de Sales church for religious rites and interment in Magnolia cemetery. Survivors are three brothers, Roland, Tony and Victor of Houma and three sisters, Mrs. Tony Fazzio of Grand Caillou, Mrs. John Piazzo and Mrs. Harry Bonvillain of Houma. ============================
