Daigle Joseph Savoie Rites Held Sat. for Jos. Savoie, Killed in Navy Funeral services were conducted with military honors for Harold Joseph Savoie Saturday, November 1, from Chauvin funeral home to Houma Heights Methodist church at 3:20 pm with interment in Bisland cemetery at Montegut. The 20-year-old Navy man met death in an explosion on the U. S. Destroyer Barton off the East coast of Korea Monday, September 15 while in the service of his country. Young Savoie had been in the Navy for almost five years, having re-enlisted after completing his first assignment. He attended MacDonell prior to entering the service. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elias Savoie, three brothers, Louis, Clifton and Aaron; and seven sisters, Mrs. Jim LeBoeuf, Mrs. Alvin Prosperie, Mrs. Junius Prosperie, Lela, Thelma, Molly and Barbara Savoie. ===========================================================================
