DAVIS Final rites will be held at St. Matthew's Episcopal church today at five in the afternoon for Mr. William Thomas Davis, beloved husband of Mrs. Marie Elise Pertuit Davis who succumbed to a brief illness at his residence at 511 Point street on Thursday morning at 11:40. Mr. Davis was 75 years of age and a native of Terrebonne being the son of Mr. James Harrison Davis and the former Laurie Jane Wright. He reared his family of nine children in the town of Houma and resided here except for a period of work as a logging engineer in Florida. Mr. Davis was an employee of Southdown Realty Operators for the past twenty three years and, up until Saturday, was regularly on the job. He is survived by his widow; three sons, George, William and Eugene Davis and five daughters, Mrs. Claude Daspit, Mrs. Jimmy Millet, Mrs. A. M. Young, Mrs. Marshall Eschete, of here and Mrs. Peter Burcin of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. His is also survived by 22 grandchildren. Services will be conducted by the Rev. G. P. Pardington, pastor of St. Matthew's church, with interment in St. Francis de Sales cemetery. Services Held Thursday On Thursday, September 23, at 9:30 in the morning, funeral services were held for Mrs. Caliste Pellegrin, the former Myrtle Picou, who succumbed to a lingering illness on September 21 at 10:30 p.m. in New Orleans. Mrs. Pellegrin, a native of Chauvin, had been bed-ridden for the past five years. She was 84 years of age and was preceded in death by seven months by her husband who lived to be 86 years old. ===========================================================================
