Daigle Miss Margaret Breaux Margaret Mary Breaux, 42 year old resident of Big Bayou Black, died on March 3 at 6:50 o?clock in the evening. Funeral services were held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Bayou Black at 10 a.m. on March 5. The Rev. George A. Landry was officiant at the Requiem High Mass. Burial was in St. Anthony Cemetery, under the direction of the First National Funeral Home. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Charles Breaux; four sisters, Mr. Edwin Tribou of New Orleans, Mrs. Morris Blanchard of Big Bayou Black, Mrs. Benny Jarneaux and Miss Gladys Breaux, both of Houma; two brothers, Walter and Kenneth Breaux of Houma. =================================== Houma, LA; Courier; March 7, 1958, Friday Submitted by: Cynthia F. Daigle Louis Champagne Louis Champagne, 65 year old resident of Little Caillou rte. Died suddenly at his residence on Monday, March 3 at 12 noon. A trapper during the winter months, he had been employed for many years by the Indian Ridge Canning Co. Funeral services were held on March 5 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Little Caillou. The Reverend Charles A. Pagliughi was officiant. Burial was in the St. Joseph cemetery under direction of Chauvin Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, the former Lucretia Robichaux; two sons, Percy and Ray Champagne of Little Caillou; three daughters, Mrs. Druby Authement of Little Caillou, Mrs. Harris Guidry of Larose and Mrs. Ivan Theriot of New Orleans. Daigle Henry LeBoeuf Henry Valentine LeBoeuf, 34, was found deat at his residence on 1706 West Main St. by his son, Henry Jr., at about 6:16 a.m. on Thursday. Time of death, which was attributed to a heart attack, was set at 2 a.m. LeBoeuf had been employed for many years by the Louisiana Highway department and worked with the bridge crew. Funeral services will be held from Chauvin Funeral Home to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on March 7. Time of services had not been set at press time. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1. He is survived by his widow, the former Bernice Ledet; two sons, Urbain and Henry Jr., both of Houma; a daughter, Mrs. Theopold Naquin of Houma. Daigle Lorina Delaune LeBoeuf Mrs. Warren LeBeouf, 20, died in a New Orleans hospital on March 5 at one o?clock in the morning. She passed away twelve hours after she underwent a delicate heart operation to correct a heart condition with which she was born. She was the former Lorina Delaune and had been living in Montegut since her marriage just a little over a year ago. Funeral services for Mrs. LeBoeuf were held at 3:30 p.m. on March 6 at St. Philomene Catholic Church in Labadieville with Reverend Jules Berthault officiating. Burial was in St. Philomene cemetery under the direction of T. X. Landry funeral home of Labadieville. Daigle Harry Weigmann Harry Sidney Weigmann died at Terrebonne General Hospital on March 3 at 6:30 p.m. The 37 year old man was a resident of 901 Wright Ave. Funeral services for Mr. Weigmann were held at Chauvin Funeral Home on March 4 at 5 p.m. Following the last rites the body was taken to Nederland, Texas for burial. Survivors include his wife, the former Maxime Long; two daughters, Anita Gayle and Diana Lynne, all of Houma. Daigle Sam Catanese, Jr. Sam (Tuttie) Catanese, Jr., 32, died at Terrebonne General Hospital at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12. He was a resident of 104 West Park Ave. and had been ill for about three months. Funeral services for Mr. Catanese have been scheduled for 10 a.m. on March 14, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #1 under direction of Chauvin Funeral Home. Daigle Mrs. Henry Theriot Mrs. Henry Theriot, 79 year old resident of 542 Brauge Ave., Metairie, died in a Metairie hospital at 11 p.m., March 11. A native of Terrebonne parish and former resident of Houma, she was the former Marie Angelle, wife of the late Henry Theriot. Funeral services were held on March 13 at 9 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #1 under direction of Chauvin Funeral Home. Survivors include five sons, Cyrus of Houma, Ovida of Metairie and Whitney, Alvin and Elward of New Orleans; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Daigle Mrs. Liz Henry Lirette Mrs. Henry Lirette, 74 year old lifelong resident of Chauvin, died at Terrebonne General Hospital on Wednesday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. The former Liz Henry, she was the wife of the late Henry Lirette. Funeral services will be held from Chauvin Funeral Home to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin where Reverend Michael Finnegan will officiate at the Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 21st. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland. Surviving are five sons, Bagley and Henry Jr. of Houma and Jeffrey and Nolan of Chauvin and Magnus of Grand Caillou; two daughters, Mrs. Malvin Authement of Chauvin and Mrs. O.J. Boyer of Houma. Daigle Mrs. Zulma Trosclair Williams Mrs. Edgar Williams, 82, died at Terrebonne General Hospital on March 20. She was a resident of Houma for many years but had been recently residing at 1168 Camp St., New Orleans. Funeral arrangements were not complete at press time on Thursday and will be announced by Chauvin Funeral Home. Survivors include; her husband; two sons Oliver Clement and Thaddeus Authement, both of Chauvin; four daughters, Mrs. Clarence Voisin and Mrs. Whitney Luke of Grand Caillou, Mrs. Gertie Pitre of New Orleans and Mrs. Clarence Carlos of Chauvin. Daigle Mrs. Lula Pruden Mrs. Lula Pruden, 70, mother of Mrs. George Augustat of 207 Central Ave., died in Fort Worth, Texas on March 8. She had been a resident of Fort Worth for many years and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Funeral services for Mrs. Pruden were held from the Crowder Brooks Funeral home in Fort Worth on March 10 and interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Fort Worth. Daigle Lawrence Antill Lawrence J. Antill, age ?, died at his residence, 1418 Lynn Ave., Thibodaux at 4:10 a.m. on Thursday, March 27. He has been suffering from leukemia since November. A native of Terrebonne parish and former resident of Bayou Black, he had been living in Thibodaux for the past twenty years and was superintendent of fabrication at Lafourche Sugar company until his illness. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Thibodaux. The body will be taken to Bayou Black for burial in St. Anthony cemetery at about 1 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Thibodeaux Funeral home of Thibodaux. Surviving are the widow, the former Leza Mary Chauvin; two sons, Francis, a teacher at Houma Junior High, and Lawrence, Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Summers Picou, all of Thibodaux. Burmaster of Gretna were held at 9:30 am Wednesday from Mothe Funeral home of Algiers. Religious services were held in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gretna with burial in McConough cemetery. Mrs. Burmaster, 79, died at 7:10 p.m. Monday in Mercy hospital. She was born on Crescent Farm plantation in Terrebonne Parish and was the great- great granddaughter of Henry Schuyler Thibodaux, the fourth governor of Louisiana. She was also a direct descendant of Gen. Philip Schuyler, hero of the American Revolution and of Jacques Cartier, French explorer who discovered Canada. Among her forbears were the original founders of the city of Quebec. Mrs. Burmaster is survived by two sons, Francis N. Burmaster and Otis R. Burmaster; five daughters, Mrs. Roy Fiest, Mrs. Robert Tanner, Mrs. Victor Caimi, Mrs. Edward Kassing and Miss Ida Burmaster; two sisters, Mrs. William Whittenhurg and Mrs. George George; one brother, J. Daigle Ellis Eschete Ellis Eschete, 87 year old resident of Houma, died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. William Detiveaux, in Bourg at 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 27. He was a fisherman during his younger years and was married to the former Elvire Pitre, now deceased. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 28, at a Requiem High Mass at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1 under direction of the First National Funeral Home. Survivors include: five sons, Lawrence of New Orleans and Dennis, Magnus, Paul and Randolph Eschete, all of Houma; two daughters, Mrs. Percy Richaud of Houma and Mrs. William Detiveaux of Bourg.
