Daigle George Alleman Funeral services were held in Paincourtville Thursday for George Felix Alleman, overseer at Ashland Plantation, who died Tuesday, May 17, at 6:55 p.m. in Terrebonne General Hospital. He was 37. Services were from Landry Funeral Home in Paincourtville to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Mr. Alleman is survived by his widow, the former Doris Marie Blanchard; four sons, Nelson, Michael, Donald and Ronald; and two daughters, Sally Marie and Patricia Ana. He was the son of Mrs. Clementine Rodrigue Alleman of Paincourtville and the late Claiborne Alleman. Mr. Alleman was the brother of Desiree, Joseph, Sidney and John Alleman of Paincourtville, Mrs. Willie Elfert, Mrs. Nera Savoy and Mrs. Lee Semantine. A native of Paincourtville, Mr. Alleman has resided in Terrebonne Parish for some years while in the employ of the South Coast Corp. First National Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. ============================ Houma Newspaper, May 20, 1960, Friday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Camille Pitre Friends and relatives of Camille Pitre and family of Montegut are invited to attend funeral services for Mr. Pitre to be held Friday at 8:20 a.m. from Chauvin Funeral Home. Mr. Pitre died Wednesday, May 18 at 8:15 p.m. in Terrebonne General Hospital. He was 59. He will be buried in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Montegut after a requiem high mass in the church, beginning at 9 a.m. He is survived by his widow, the former Pearl Picou; a son, Elie of Montegut; and two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Ruiz of Cut Off and June Pitre of Montegut. He was the father of the late Julian Rhodes of Montegut. Mr. Pitre was the brother of Andrew, Sr., Allen and Miller Pitre of Montegut, Bruce Pitre Sr. of Houma, Maurice Pitre of New Orleans, Mrs. Leola David of Metairie and Mrs. Rose Mary Michel of Kenner. Mr. Pitre was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Montegut Fire Department. Daigle Moise Champagne Moise Anthony Champagne, 47, died Sunday at his residence on Bayou Black route at 4:15 P.M. Funeral services are scheduled to be held Tuesday at the Chauvin Funeral Home. Interment is scheduled for the Garden of Memories cemetery, Gray. Mr. Champagne is survived by his wife, the former Calma Crochet. He leaves one son, Noah, and two daughters, Betty Ann and Patricia. ============================ Houma Newspaper, May 24, 1960, Tuesday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Lillian Norman Mrs. Lillian Norman, mother of Mrs. Meyer Morganstein of Houma, was buried Saturday in New Orleans following ceremonies in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She died Thursday, May 19, at 5:40 P.M.. She was 84. She is survived by Mrs. Morganstein and two sons, Joseph L. C. of New Orleans and Louis C. of Marrero. Mrs. Norman was the sister of Mrs. Cecil Davis of Alexandria, and Wiley Norman of New Orleans. Survivors include five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were at 11:30 A.M. Daigle Edward Savoie Funeral services are scheduled to be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 A.M. from the Chauvin Funeral Home to St. Francis de Sales Catholic church for Edward Victor Savoie, 84, who died Sunday at his residence, 400 Columbus Street. Interment is scheduled to be held Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales cemetery No. 2. Mr. Savoie is survived by his wife, the former Lycia Lirette. He also leaves four daughters: Mrs. Sadie Eschete of Houma, Mrs. George Toups, Bayou Town, Texas, Mrs. Jovey(sic) Vendel, New Orleans, Mrs. Robert Diliane Anchorage, Alaska, and three sons, Louis, Raceland; Stanley, Alexandria; and Junius of Houma. ================================================================================
