LAURA THERIOT FIELDS DUPRE    

Mrs. J. C. Dupre Succumbs at 93 in New Iberia

Mrs. James C. Dupre, a native of Houma and a resident of New Iberia for 20 
years, died Monday in a New Iberia hospital at the age of 93.

She was the former Laura Theriot, daughter of the late Mrs. and Mrs. August
Theriot.

Survivors include one daughter, Miss Eugenie Fields, a daughter by a first
marriage to the late Eugene P. Fields, Jr. Also  surviving are one brother, E. R. Theriot of Houma, five sisters, Mrs. C. L. Butaud of Crowley, Mrs. D. Levy of Franklin, Mrs. T. G. Duhon of New Orleans, Mrs. N. L. Melancon of El Paso, Texas; Mrs. Robert Derouen of New Iberia.  Mrs. Dupre was also the sister of the late Alphonse Theriot, Mrs. F. M. Bodin, and Miss Florence Theriot.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Evangeline Funeral Home to St.
Peter's Catholic Church in New Iberia where a Requiem Mass was said.

The body was taken to Houma for burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No.1. 
Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia was in charge of arrangements.
