Daigle Elmer L Canafax Succumbs Sun., Services Monday ELMER CANAFAX Funeral services were held Monday from the First National Funeral Home for Elmer Lee Canafax, 52, of 714 Liberty Street, who died Sunday at 6 pm at Terrebonne General Hospital after suffering with a heart condition for about two weeks. Interment was held at the St. Francis de Sales cemetery No. 1. Canafax was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Louise. He is survived by one son Cole, one daughter, Helen, his mother, Mrs Nanie Canafax, six brothers and three sisters. Daigle GILBERT DUPLANTIS Expires Monday Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time for Gilbert Duplantis, 78, who died on Monday, Oct 5 at 7 am, following a lengthy illness. He was a resident of 1228 Ellender Street. He is survived by his widow the former Josephine LeBlanc; two daughters, Mrs Wilbert Eschete and Mrs Lydia Harris; and five sons, Pat, Thaddeus, Luke, Gable and Camille Duplantis. Thirty eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive. Daigle Galliano Man Dies in TGH CLOVIS GUIDRY Clovis J. Guidry, 53, died on Saturday, October 3, at 7:15 am at Terrrebonne General Hospital. He was a resident of Galliano, brought to Terrebonne General for shelter from the hurricane. Funeral services will be conducted some time Tuesday from the funeral home at Cut Off to St. Joseph's Catholic church in Galliano, with interment in the Galliano mausoleum. He is survived by his widow, the former Isabel Blanchard; two daughters, Doris and Ruth Guidry; four brothers, Torris, Hector, Mabry and Pershing Guidry; and five sisters, Mrs Anise Truxillo, Mrs Clement Guidry, Mrs Harold Sherman, Mrs Carl Leonard and Mrs Smith Blanchard. Thibodaux Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ============================ Submitted by: Cynthia Fatchett Daigle Terrebonne Press, Oct 6, 1964 LIZZIE FALGOUT SAVOIE Triple Funeral Planned Tuesday Triple funeral services have been set for Tuesday at 9 at the Community Center, Larose for Mrs. Lizzie Falgout Savoie, 76, of Bourg, her son's wife, Mrs. Gertie Arceneaux Champagne, 48, and her mother, Mrs Wilson Arceneaux, 75, all victims of the savage tornado which hit Larose on Saturday evening. Mrs Savoie was visiting her son, Alvin Champagne and his family who resided in Larose when the storm with its accompanying tonados struck. Funeral services will be conducted at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with interment for Mrs Savoie at the St. Ann Cemetery in Bourg. She is survived by her husband, Raoul Savoie, and one other son, Allen, of Bourg, and two grandchildren. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of her arrangements. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the other two. ===========================================================================
