Daigle Mrs V. Caldwell Dies in Abbeville ELEANOR CALDWELL Abbeville, La. - Mrs Vernon Lee Caldwell, 92, died Wednesday, Abbeville General Hospital following a long illness. Funeral services for Mrs Caldwell were held Friday, May _ _ at 10:30 am in the Abbeville Methodist Church, following a brief service in the Caldwell residence, with Reverend Tracy Arnold, pastor, officiating. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Donald Caldwell of New Orleans, John Vernon Caldwell, Thibodaux, Michael and Roland Caldwell Jr., of Thibodaux and Stephen and Eugene Broussard of Abbeville. Burial was in the Graceland cemetery here with Moss Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Daigle Miss A. Chauvin Expires May 18 AGNES CHAUVIN Miss Agnes Marie Chauvin died Thursday, May 18, at the East Louisiana Nursing Home in Jackson. She was in her late seventies and a resident of Route 2 Box 182, Houma. Miss Chauvin is survived by one brother, Wilson Chauvin of Westwego; and one sister, Mrs George Detiveaux of Bayou Blue. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 20, at 10 am from the funeral home to LaGrange Methodist Church, Bayou Blue. Interment was in Matherne Cemetery. Mr. Rutherford, a native of Texas, and a resident of 304 Edward Street, Houma, for nine years, died May 21 at Veterans Hospital in New Orleans. He was a veteran of World War ll. He is survived by his wife, the former Freddie Cox. Savoie Expires Friday ABEL SAVOIE Abel Ernest Savoie, 64, died Friday, May 19, at Terrebonne General Hospital. He was a resident of 202 St. Louis Street. Survivors include two brothers, Addis and Morris Savoie; and one sister, Mrs Percy Parr, all of Houma. He was the son of the late Odressie Savoie and Marguerita Duplantis. Funeral services were scheduled for 10:30 am Monday, May 22, from Chauvin Funeral Home to Maria Immacolata Catholic Church with interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
