Daigle Labron J. Babin Buried, Thibodaux LABRON BABIN Mr. Labron J. Babin died at his residence, 628 Dunn St., March 23 at 11:45 am. He was 62 years old. He was the son of the late Theodule Babin and Maggie Samanie. Survivors are his wife, the former Pauline Benoit; a brother, Irvin Babin of Lafayette, LA; and two sisters, Mrs Harry Adams of Houma and Mrs C.C. Singleton of Thibodaux. A brother, Roland Babin, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 25 in St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial was in the church cemetery. Daigle Arthur Chauvin Jr. Funeral Services Held Wednesday ARTHUR CHAUVIN Mr Arthur Emile Chauvin Jr., age 69, died at his residence 150 Burkwall, Tuesday, March 24 at 3:30 am. He was the husband of the late Victoria Carlos and the son of the late Arthur Chauvin Sr. and the late Virginia Bergeron. Mr Chauvin, a retired Houma businessman, was a native of Terrebonne Parish. Daigle Gros Funeral Held in Larose NOAH GROS Funeral services for Mr Noah F. Gros were scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at 10:45 am from the VFW Community Center in Larose to Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11 am. Burial was to be in the church cemetery with Falgout Funeral, Inc. Raceland, in charge. Mr Gros, a native of Larose and a resident of Kentwood, LA died March 25 at 2 pm. He was 67 years old. Survivors are his wife, the former Henrietta Bouvier; one son, Lynnwood Gros of Mt. Herman, LA; and three daughters, Mrs Paul Lagrange of Metairie; Mrs O. J. Lagrange of Larose, Mrs Earl Acosta of Larose; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Mrs Ben Pierce of Cutoff and Mrs Cleveland Lerille of Galliano. Daigle Mrs Labit Rites Held Wednesday MARIE LABIT Mrs Marie Savoie Labit, age 93, died March 23 at 7:34 pm in Sako's Nursing Home. She was a resident of 191 West Park Avenue. Mrs Labit was the wife of John Labit and the daughter of the late Aurelian Labit (sic - Aurelian Savoie) and the late Marie Chiasson. Survivors are two sons, Henry and Luke of Houma; six daughters, Mrs Arthur Cenac of Houma, Mrs Armond Naquin of Montegut, Mrs Addis Savoie of New Orleans, Louis Pontiff of New Orleans, Howard Tindall of Sterling Colo.; 19 grandchildren , 33 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 25 at 11 am at St. Gregory Catholic Church with interment in St. Francis Cemetery No. 1. Daigle Washington Rites Slated Saturday MRS. STEWART WASHINGTON Mrs Stewart Washington died in Charity Hospital in New Orleans March 21. She was 36 years old. A wake will be held Friday night, March 27 at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, with religious services Saturday at 2 pm. Burial will be in Oak Forest Cemetery, with Gertrude Geddis Willis Funeral Home in charge. Mrs Washington is survived by her mother, Mrs Dora Oraldrige; one son, Stewart Jr.; seven sisters, Mrs Louisa Howard of Gibson, Mrs Genieviva Robinson of Gibson, Mrs Jessie Mary Brent of Franklin, Mrs Gustavia Kelly of Franklin, Mrs Thelma Prince of Gibson, Miss Laura Washington of Gibson, and Mrs Bertha Swaza of Gretna. Also surviving are three brothers, Louis and Reuben of Gretna, and Oliver of Gibson. ============================
