Daigle Nicholas Belanger Funeral Slated Thursday, April 2 NICHOLAS BELANGER Nicholas Floyd Belanger, age 64, died at 10:22 am March 31 in Terrebonne General Hospital. He was a resident of 322 Railroad Ave. A native New Iberian, he was the son of the late Nicholas F. Belanger and the late Celina Blanchard. He was a retired foreman for Texaco, and a veteran of World War ll. Survivors include four brothers, Gordon of Picayune, Miss., Homer of Baton Rouge, George of Houma and John of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs Al J. Noble of Grammercy, Mrs John Attaway of Bourg, and Miss Dorothy Belanger of New Orleans. Preceding him in death were a brother, Hugh Belanger and two sisters, Mrs Alice Webb and Miss Marie Belanger. Funeral services were scheduled for April 2 at 11:30 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial was to be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1. Daigle Houma's Grandson Dies, New Orleans TANOA BERGERON Tanoa Bergeron, age 19, son of Mr and Mrs Preston Bergeron of Algiers, was killed in a motorcycle accident Wednesday evening, April 1. Survivors are his parents; one brother, Dean; one sister, Aloma; and his grandparents, Mrs Howard Bergeron, Mrs Sophia Labiche and Mrs Isaac Babin, all of Houma and Mr Shelly Thibodaux of Grand Caillou. Religious services will be held April 3 in the Mothe Funeral Home, West Bank Expressway. Callahan Rites Galliano VIVIAN CALLAHAN Mrs Vivian Collins Callahan, age 53, died at Cutoff, LA on Tuesday, March 31 at 5 am. She was a resident of Galliano. She was the wife of Eddie Callahan, mother of Mrs Willie Doucet Sr., Mrs Ernest Lefort and Mrs Walter Roe; sister of Ignace, Vendon, Louman and Oldine Collins, Mrs Alcode Pitre Sr., Mrs Tillman Charpentier, Mrs Joseph Thibodeaux, Mrs Horace Savoie, Mrs Cleveland Guidry, Mrs Vincent Doucet and Mrs Ted Bergeron, also survived by seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 3:30 pm. Interment was in Cheramie Cemetery. Dupre Funeral Pointe-aux-Chenes CLARENCE DUPRE Mr. Clarence Dupre, age 65, died Monday, March 30 at 2:30 am. He was a native and resident of Pointe-aux-Chenes. She is survived by her husband Wilton; one son, Barry; two brothers, Louis of Houma and Allen of Montegut; two sisters Mrs Ida Labat and Mrs Alma Kurtz of Houma. Mr LeBlanc, a retired trapper and World War l veteran was the son of the late Joseph J. LeBlanc and Severine Hebert. He is survived by one brother, John P. Daigle Richard F. Lorio Intered in Larose RICHARD LORIO Mr. Richard Francois Lorio died in St. Ann General Hospital March 30 at 9 pm. He was a native of New Roads and a 60 year resident of Larose. He was the husband of the late Claudia Guidroz; father of Mrs C.A. Saucier of Larose and the grandfather of Richard and Claudia Saucier of Larose. He was the brother of Sister Mary Agnes, C.S.J. of Baton Rouge, Sister Ann Marie C.S.J., Miss Louise Lorio and Mrs J. Bert Lieux, all of New Rhodes and the late Mrs Samuel Patin, Miss Lucille Lorio and Sister St. Vincent de Paul. He was the son of the late Theodore Richard Lorio and Marie Louise LeBeau. She was the wife of Adrian Robichaux; and the mother of Mrs Hilton (Mabel) Hebert, Mrs Kenneth (Pearl) Bourgeois, Mrs Urban (Edna) Brady and the late Herman Robichaux Sr., and Mrs Eldon (Eura) Matherne. She was the sister of Mrs Surcy (Pete) Thibodaux and Mrs Higgins (Pauline) St. Pierre. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, April 2 at 2 pm from the funeral home to St. Mary Catholic Church at 2:30 pm. Burial was to be in the church cemetery. She wass the wife of the late Morris Savoie Sr. by first marriage and Lawrence Roddy by second marriage. She was a native and resident of Raceland. She was the mother of Mrs Morris Savoie Jr. of Gibson, Mrs Jimmie Dupre and Mrs Aurelian Kramer Jr. of Bayou Blue, Mrs Louis Roge rs and Norman Savoie of Lockport, Mrs Euclid Danos Jr. of Raceland and Leland Dupre of Salutha, Kansas. She was the sister of Mrs C. J. Demunnick, Mrs Joseph Duplantis and Ernest Rodriguez, all of New Orleans. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday April 1 at 11 am in the St Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. Burial was in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.
