Daigle Dr. Collins Aunt Expires Saturday in Morgan City MARIE COLLINS Mrs Marie Peters Collins, aunt of Dr. Clark Collins of Houma, died Saturday, August 15, in Lakewood Hospital in Morgan City, La. following a lengthy illness, Mrs Colins, 67, a resident of Marshall, Tex., was visiting in the home of her daughter when she became ill. She was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church and was a retired records clerk of Caddo parish. Her husband, the late Leonard Collins, was a former mayor of Winnsboro, La. Mrs Collins is survived by two sons, Leonard Jr. of Dallas, Tex, and James S. Collins of Marshall, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs W.W. Haygood of Berwick, LA, Mrs Kenneth Medlock of Midland, Tex. And Mrs Edward H. Williams of Montgomery, Ala.; and one sister, Mrs Lewis V. Peterson of Washington, D.C. The body was taken overland to Osburn Funeral Home, Shreveport for burial Tuesday, August 18. Services will be held at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel, with burial following in Greenwood, Cemetery. Thibodaux Buried Monday HERBERT THIBODAUX Funeral services for Mr Herbert J. Thibodaux were held Monday, August 17 from the VFW Community Center in Larose at 10:45 am to Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11 am. Burial was in the church cemetery. Falgout Funeral Home Inc. Raceland was in charge of arrangements. Mr Thibodaux, 50, died Thursday, August 13 at 4:40 pm in New Orleans. He was a native and resident of Lockport. Survivors are his wife, Theresa Rogers Thibodaux, and two sisters, Mrs John Woodside and Mrs Clarence Hebert. Mr Blanchard, 55, died Wednesday, August 12, at 10:25 am in Terrebonne General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He had been disabled for the past three years. He was the son of Joseph Blanchard and the late Mrs Blanchard. Survivors are his wife, the former Marie Naquin; four daughters, Mrs Carroll Daigle, Mrs Whitney Armond, Mrs Calloway Jones and Mrs James Taylor; and six grandchildren. Daigle Savoie Funeral Slated Monday CHARLES SAVOIE Mr. Charles Aaron Savoie, 80, of 1300 Dewey St. died at 10 pm Friday, August 14. He is survived by his wife, the former Anaise Pitre; one daughter, Mrs Wilmer Babin; two granddaughters, Mrs Robert Guidry and Miss Lori Babin; and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters; Mrs Claude Hebert, Mrs Loney LeBouef and Mrs Albert Allemand. Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, August 17, at 10:15 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. =========================================================================
