Daigle Stanley Giroir Stanley J. "Coonie" Giroir, 63, died at his Bayou Black residence Sunday, April 25, at 9:45 pm. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theophile Giroir and father of Rose Marie Giroir of Houma. Surviving brothers include Adrian, Harry, Lawrence and Paul Giroir of Houma. Surviving sisters are Mrs. John Focheaux, Mrs. Edward Breaux, Mrs. Hubert Breaux, Mrs. Shine Moore and Mrs. Jessie Redmond. He was also preceded in death by the late Amos C. Giroir. Funeral services will be from First National funeral Home Tuesday, April 27, at 10 am. Religious services will be from St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin today at 3 pm and continue until 11 pm. A rosary will be recited tonight between 7 and 8 pm. Daigle Nickolai Jerstad Golden Meadow resident Nickolai A. Jerstad, age 62, who died at 5:00 am Sunday in Galliano, will be buried today, April 26, after services scheduled for 4 pm at the Golden Meadow Methodist Church. The religious services will be preceded by services at Falgout Funeral Home in Golden Meadow at 3:30 pm today. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Golden Meadow. Jerstad was the husband of Antoinette Jambon, father of Andrew and Charles Jerstad, brother of Mrs. Andrew Totland of Long Island, Andrew Nelson of Inglewood, Colo., Thomas Nelson of Concord, Mass, and Joseph Jerstad of Brooklyn. He was also the son of the late Abraham Jerstad and Elise Jacobson. He was a native of Norway and a resident of Golden Meadow for 21 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Daigle James Savoie PEDESTRIAN KILLED NEAR RACELAND Second Weekend Fatality for Troop A 51 year old man was killed late Saturday when he was struck by an automobile as he was walking along LA 1 in Raceland, four miles north of U. S. 90 in Lafourche Parish, Troop M reported today. The pedestrian, James J. Savoie, 51 of Rt. 1 Box ???, Magnolia Plantation, was killed at 10:4? Saturday when he was struck by an automobile driven by Dorothy W. Seal, 45, of ?11 Fieldcrest Dr. in Thibodaux. Neither she nor an occupant in her car were injured according to the report. (Skipped several paragraphs not pertaining to Savoie) Savoie Funeral Arrangements Savoie's survivors include his wife, Mrs. Philomene Hebert Savoie; his mother, Eve Stephens Savoie; and sons Callen, Lee, Fred, Randy, Paul and Roland, all of Houma. Surviving daughters are Gloria, Anna, and Kathy of Houma and Delores of Larose. Savoie was preceded in death by his father, James J. Savoie Sr. and a son, Roy Savoie. Services from Chauvin Funeral Home will be Tuesday, Apr 17 at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Bridget Cemetery.
