Daigle Randy Savoie Youth Killed In Farm Mishap Randy Savoie, 17, Rt. 1 Houma, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital, Thibodaux, at about 2 p.m. Monday. The Houma youth was killed when he became trapped between a tractor seat and fuel tank while working at Magnolia Plantation. Reports state that the boy was driving the tractor while a bulldozer was being used to help him pull a can trailer when he fell from the tractor and was crushed. Funeral services for Savoie, who was a farm laborer, will be held on Wednesday in St. Bridget Catholic church in Schriever. Time of services is pending. Burial in the church cemetery will be under the direction of Chauvin Funeral Home. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. James J. Savoie; brothers, Callen, Lee James, Fred, Paul and Roland Savoie, all of Houma; four sisters, Mrs. Davis Boudreaux Jr. of Valentine and Mrs. Gilbert Portier, Mrs. Virgis Landry, and Cathy Savoie, all of Houma. He was the son of the late James J. Savoie. =====================================================================
