Daigle FELICIA GUIDRY BOUDREAUX Parish Pioneer Dies; Rites Set Mrs. Earl Boudreaux, the former Felecia Guidry, died at 8:45 a.m. Friday, February 4, 1972, at Sako Nursing Home. A member of a pioneer Terrebonne Parish family, she was the wife of Earl Boudreaux. Sr. She was 79. Religious services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Montegut, La. At 2 o'clock p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home. Besides her husband, Mrs. Boudreaux is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nell B. Duplantis, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild, and a sister, Miss Anita Guidry. She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Boudreaux, Jr., also a daughter, Mrs. Julie Schexnayder; and two sisters, Mrs. Agnes G. Boudreaux, and Mrs. Abel LeBlanc. Daigle Augustine Gage Funeral services are to be conducted from Morning Star Baptist Church on Bruly road Friday night for Mrs. Augustine Gage, who died at Jackson, La. February 8 at 2:10 am. Mrs. Gage was 50 years old and a resident of 1231 St. Charles St. in Thibodaux. Survivors include her husband, John Gage Jr., two daughters, Mary Johnson and Mrs. Ettie M. Marta and one sister. Burial will be in Morning Star Baptist Cemetery. ============================ Houma Courier, February 10, 1972, Thursday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Nora Gisclair Mrs. Nora Margaret Savoie Gisclair expired on Wednesday, February 9 at 7:21 pm, at the age of 77. She was a native of Larose, La., and a resident of Cut Off. She was the wife of Euzbert Gisclair. She was the mother of Mrs. Edmond Thomasee of Larose; Mrs. Harris B. Petrie and Z. F. Sistrunk, both of Houma; Mrs. A. J. Blanchard of Grand Isle, Mrs. Emmett Danos and Neilton Gisclair of cut Off, LA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled to be held from First National Funeral Home of Galliano on Friday, February 11 at 3:30 pm. Religious services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off at 4 pm with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements will be handled by Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. Daigle Manuel Johnson Funeral services are scheduled Saturday at 1 pm for Mr. Manuel Johnson, 84, of 122 1/2 Aycock St., who died Feb. 6 at 7 pm in Terrebonne General Hospital. Wake services will begin Friday night at Terrebonne Funeral Home; religious services are scheduled for 1 pm Saturday at Mount Corrip Baptist Church, with burial in Combo Cemetery at Dulac. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Johnson; four sons, Joseph Manuel Jr., Daniel and Ernest Johnson; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Brumfield, and Mrs. Rachael Cox; a foster daughter, Carolyn Lenette; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Andrews and Mrs. Louise Green of Algiers. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a great aunt, a host of nieces, nephews and friends. ============================ Houma Courier, February 10, 1972, Thursday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Robert Kinard Gun Shot is Fatal to Youth The Parish Sheriff's Office announced the death of a local high school student, due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The report states that the Sheriff's Office received a call at 12:45 pm on February 9, to investigate the accident. Dead was Robert Earl Kinard, a 17 year old student of Terrebonne High School. He died at 11:30 am Wednesday. He was residing at 328 Holiday Drive with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Hebert. He was a native of Frostproof, Florida. The youth was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Kinard. Funeral services, which were incomplete at press time, will be held at Marion- Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof, Florida. Interment will be held in Silver Hill Cemetery. Local arrangements were handled by McCleary Funeral Home. Kinard is survived by a brother, Alvin Kinard of Frostproof, Fla.; four sisters, Grace and Joyce Kinard of Frostproof, Fla.; Betty Walls of Cardele, Georgia; and Linda Kinard of Cardele, George. He is also survived by his grandmother, Mrs. Leverette Duckworth of Cardele, Georgia. ============================ Houma Courier, February 10, 1972, Thursday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Laura Olivier Mrs. Laura Bergeron Olivier, 87, expired on February 9, at 6:50 am, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was residing at 3001 Laurel Dr. in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Bergeron was a native and long time resident of Terrebonne Parish. Funeral services are slated for Friday, February 11 at 10 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery on Big Bayou Black. Visitation will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home until funeral time. Mrs. Bergeron is survived by three sons: Erwin J., of Houma, Millard of Baker, and Clifton of Baton Rouge; three daughters: Mrs. Edgar (Sadie) Kent of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Allen (Viola) Drott of Houma, and Mrs. W. A. (Elsie) Brown Jr., of Marrero; 29 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Raymond Emile Olivier; her parents the late Augustin Bergeron and the late Estelle Beauford; and one sons, the late Austin Olivier of Houma. ======================================================================
