Meloe Savoie Chauvin
 
Funeral services will be held at 10:15 am Thursday in St. Louis Catholic Church 
of Bayou Blue for Mrs. Meloe Savoie Chauvin, 83, of Bayou Blue, who died at 4:15 
am today in Terrebonne General Hospital.
Burial in the church cemetery will be under the direction of Chauvin Funeral 
Home.
Survivors include two sons; Howard and Ollen Chauvin, both of Bayou Blue; six 
daughters, Mrs. Junius Usie, Miss Jeanne Chauvin and Mrs. Nurvy Chauvin, all of 
Bayou Blue, Mrs. Nick Barrow and Mrs. Clifton Coffman, both of Houma, and Mrs. 
Earl Brien and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Argus Chauvin.

Hubert Dupre
 
Hubert Joseph Dupre, 47, of 110 St. Michel St., died at 4:30 pm Tuesday in 
Terrebonne General Hospital.
Religious services were scheduled for 10 am Thursday in Holy rosary Catholic 
Church. Burial in the church cemetery will be under the direction of Chauvin 
Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife the former Audrey Duplantis; four sons, Carl, Chris, 
Terry and Hubert Dupre Jr., all of Houma; a daughter, Mrs. Philip Cunningham of 
Houma; a brother, Dudley Dupre of Grand Caillou; four sisters, Mrs. Junius Bourg 
of Houma, Mrs. Lawrence Matherne of Bayou Cane, Mrs. Alvin Lapeyrouse of 
Chauvin, and Mrs. Irving LeBoeuf of Montegut; and five grandchildren.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Dupre.
