Daigle Emily Daigle Emily Marie Daigle, 83, and a resident of 104 Mike Street, died today, Jan. 12, at 1 am at Terrebonne General Hospital. She was the widow of Freddie Daigle and mother of Robert J. Daigle of Houma, Lynn P. Daigle of Morgan City, Mrs. Nada Bergeron and Mrs. Mena Morgan of New Orleans. She was the sister of Mrs. James Buquet Sr. and the late Mrs. Nettie Boudreaux, Messie Savoie, Mrs. Eveline Daigle, Mrs. Ella LeBoeuf, and Wiley, Thalma, Clemille and Sye Daigle. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation from Chauvin Funeral Home was slated to begin at 1 pm today and continue through midnight. Funeral services are planned for Saturday, Jan. 13 at 11 am from the funeral home to St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Burial is to follow in St. Francis de Sales No 1 Cemetery. Daigle Gail Bryant Cortez Hebert Gail Cortez Hebert died Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 10:30 pm. She was the wife of Robert Hebert and 34 years of age. A native and resident of Raceland, she was the mother of Glen, Lynn, Sheila and Denise Guidry and the sister of Fredrick J., Bert, Malcolm and Gary Bryant, Mrs. Douglas Ford and Sallie Cortez. Services from Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 13 at 8:45 am with religious services to follow at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland at 9 am. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation began at 10 am today. Daigle Zack Bennett Zack Bennett, resident of New Iberia, died Tuesday, Jan. 9 at the New Iberia Parish Hospital at the age of 60. He was the husband of Mrs. Octavia Bennett and son of Mrs. Sarah Charles and step-son of Junius Charles. Children include, Warrence Bennett, Mmes. Sarah Mathews, Pearl Jones, Jo Ann Mosely, Octavia Smith, Elizabeth Steward, Gloria Smith, all of Houma, Mrs. Ledora Watkins of New Iberia, Mrs. Louise Alldrige of Houston, step-son Lloyd Coleman of Houma, and four additional children from New Iberia. He was the brother of Mrs. Suzie Sampson, Mrs. Ella Mae Proctor and Mrs. Zold Prevost as well as Isiah Bennett, Stanley Charles and Junius Charles. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren. Wake services will begin tonight, Friday, Jan. 12, from New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, with Saturday services from the same. The Rev. Kermit Simmons will officiate. Time of the funeral rites was undetermined at press time. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. He was the father of Bert Boyne and Mrs. Roy Cole of Morgan City and the brother of Mrs. Claude Chauvin of Houma, Mrs. Lillian Courage of New Orleans, Andrew and William Boyne of Houma and the late Edward, John and Howard Boyne. He is also survived by two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation from Chauvin Funeral Home is scheduled for 3 p.m. today through 11 p.m. tonight, resuming at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17 until funeral time, set for 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
