Daigle Louise Bemon Mrs. Louise Bemon, a resident of Gibson, died in Houma March 24 at 6:30 am at the age of 76. She was the mother of John Solomon, Lionel Bemon, Mrs. Jessina Williams, Mrs. Odeal Carbin and Mrs. Margie Kenny, and the sister of Mrs. Carrie Mitchell Smith and Mrs. Chestnola Diggs, all of Gibson. She was also the grandmother of 27 and great grandmother of 22. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Wake rites from Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gibson are slted to begin tonight, Tuesday March 27, with a Wednesday, March 28 service planned for 2 pm from the same. Rev. Daigle Helen Elster Mrs. Helen J. Elster, a native of Houma and resident of Houston, Texas for the past 33 years, died Tuesday, March (20?) at about 10 pm at her 2503 Audubon St. home there. The former Helen Jackson, she was the spouse of Rheuben Elster and daughter of Mrs. John C. Jackson and the late Mr. Jackson. She was the mother of Jay Robert Elster of Winston Salem, N. Car. And Mrs. Donald Cahill of Dickinson, Tex., Mrs. Lee J. Tollette of Stamford, Tex., and Mrs. Sibyl Ann Sandlin of Houston. She was the sister of Earl H. Jackson, the late Carl and Randolph Jackson, and Mrs. Nita Pettigrew, Mrs. Myrtle Ayo, Mrs. Stella Bueche and Mrs. Laura Hutchinson. Daigle Evela Savoie Mrs. Evela Ledet Savoie, 80 years of age and a native and resident of Larose, died at Raceland Monday, March 26 at 11:10 am. She was the wife of the late Gaston Savoie and mother of Jessie and Alvin Savoie, Mrs. Francis Bourgeois, Mrs. Enola LeBlanc, Mrs. Lou Ellis Savoie, Mrs. Iona Breaux and the late Harris Savoie. She was the sister of Arnold, Camille and Belton Ledet, Mrs. Oneal Orgeron, Mrs. Antoine Guidry and Miss Leona Ledet and the late Ebdon Ledet. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Services from the VFW community center in Larose will be Wednesday March 28 at 10:45 am with religious services to follow at 11 am from Holy Rosary Catholic in Larose. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc. Raceland is in charge.
