Julia King
 
Mrs. Julia Duthu King, 77 years of age and a resident of 1124 Myles St., died 
there Monday, Feb 18 (1974) at 5:40 pm.
She was the wife of the late Mr. Aaron King and the mother of Aaron Jr. and 
Edward King, both of Houma, as well as Mrs. Royce Bourg, Mrs. Alvin Daigle and 
Miss Louise Mae King, all of Houma and the late Ralph and James King.
She was the sister of Mrs. Arthur Chaisson of Houma and the late Mrs. Josephine 
Senac.
She is also survived by a niece, Mrs. Charles Adams of Thibodaux, 15 
grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. King are planned for Wednesday, Feb 20 at 11 am at St. 
Mathews Episcopal Church, with burial rites to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Anna Boudreaux Savoie 

Anna Boudreaux Savoie, 87 year old resident of Westwego, died Sunday, Feb 17 at 
3:30 pm. She was the wife of the late Edgar Savoie and the mother of Mrs. 
Scurley (Marie ) Sampey. She was the grandmother of Myrna Sproll and Kenneth 
Sampey. She was the great grandmother of Delta Lim, Kendra, Alrean Sampey, 
Richard and Suzanne Sproll. She was the sister of Ida LeBlanc, Julia Chaisson, 
Augusta Guidroz, Judith Boudreaux, Leah Klause, Eves and Ignace Boudreaux. 
Services were planned today, Feb 19, at 9:30 am at a Westwego funeral home, 
with religious services expected at Mathews Methodist Church. Interment was to 
follow at Holy Savior Cemetery at Lockport.

Virginia Boudreaux
 
Mrs. Virginia Boudreaux, a resident of 1201 Canal St. and frequent visitor to 
the area, died Wednesday, Feb 27 at 9:10 am at a local nursing home.
The mother of Houma resident, Mrs. Frank (Corrine) Williams, Mrs. Boudreaux was 
92.
She was the wife of the late Mr. Louis E. Boudreaux and also the mother of 
Louis C. Boudreaux, Mrs. Violet B. Sothern, Mrs. Agnes Dunn and Mrs. Grace B. 
Savoie.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great 
great grandchildren.
Visitation at Landry's Funeral Home at Thibodaux is planned to begin at 5:30 pm 
today and will continue through 10 pm, resuming Friday, Mar. 1 at 8 am and 
continuing through 11 am, when the funeral rites are scheduled to begin at St. 
Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment is to follow at the church cemetery at Thibodaux.

Lillian Savoy
 
Mrs. Lillian Pitre Savoy, a native of Montegut, died Wednesday, Feb 27 at 10:15 
am at 64.
She was the wife of the late Mr. Harold Savoy and the mother of Ronald Peter 
Savoy of New Orleans, Mrs. Lloyd Ledet of Houma, Mrs. Peter Gibbia of Slidell, 
and the late Armond Joseph Savoie and the late Rowena Savoie.
She was the sister of Harris and Clarence Pitre, both of Montegut, Mrs. 
Evangeline Pitre of Montegut and Mrs. Alvin LeBlanc of Little Caillou, as well 
as the late Lawrence and Shelly Pitre.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
Services are to begin at 9 am Friday, Mar. 1 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 
with burial rites to follow at the Dugas Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
