He was 74, and had been a resident of Baton Rouge for the past several years. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Viva Hunter Wright and a son Elward Hunter Wright, as well as three grandchildren. He was the brother of Elward, Connely J., Kenneth H., [of Houma], Louis Druilhet of Beaumont, Tex. and Robert R. Wright, Mrs. Alva Wright LaRose [of Houma], and Mrs. Sarah W. Sandoz of Port Arthur, Tex. Mr. Wright was an officer with Lafourche Lumber Co. of Thibodaux prior to his retirement, at which time he and his wife moved to Baton Rouge. ========================================================================= Houma Courier, March 22, 1974, Friday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Inez Arcement Miss Inez Arcement, a native of Raceland, died Thursday, Mar. 21 at 9:15 am at the age of 65. She was the daughter of Edia Bourgeois Arcement and the late Oliezie Arcement. She is the sister of Mrs. Elma Sicard, Lawrence and Sidney Arcement. Rites were held today, Mar. 22 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Raceland, with interment following in the church cemetery. Daigle Ezar Marie Savoie Mrs. Ezar Marie Savoie, native and resident of Houma, died here Thursday, March 21, at 7:50 am at 73. She was the wife of Hilbert Savoie and the mother of Joseph, Roland, Gerald (Blue) and Gary Savoie, as well as Mrs. Norman Pitre, Mrs. Gloria Savoie and Mrs. Dorothy Hobbs. She was the sister of E. J. Murphy, Hayes, Carroll, Percy and Eurie Marie, Mrs. Paul Hebert and Mrs. Noah Melancon as well as the late Mrs. Gert Babin. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Services from Falgout Funeral Home at Raceland will be conducted Saturday, March 23 at 10:15 am, with religious services to follow at 11 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Luling. Interment will follow at Holy Savior Mausoleum at Luling. Visitation at Falgout's began at 3:30 pm today. Daigle Washington Whitney Washington Whitney, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Barataria, died at Larose Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 10:15 pm, at 89. He was the spouse of the late Florence Bailey. He was the father of Washington Nicholas Whitney and the brother of Mrs. Bertha Scott. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services were expected to be held today, Mar. 22, at Falgout Funeral Home at Galliano, with interment to follow at bailey Cemetery at Barataria.
