Daigle Sidonia Chouest Savoie Mrs. Sidonia C. Savoie, native of Gheens and resident of Cut Off, died Monday, Oct 14 at 11:45 am at Galliano. She was 83. She was the wife of the lat Mr. John Savoie and the mother of Forrest, Horace, Alton, Earl, Sergie and Houston Savoie, Mrs. Claude Ordoyne, Mrs. Jane Plaisance and Mrs. Nolan Fonseca and the late Mrs. Willie Pennison. Mrs. Savoie is survived by her brothers, Nicholas and Leo Paul Chouest; her sisters, Mrs. Eugene Plaisance and Mrs. Henry Matherne; 33 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the VFW Community Center, Larose, Wednesday, Oct 16 at 10:15 am followed by religious services at Holy Rosary Catholic church, Larose, at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Daigle Emile Ledet Emile A. Ledet, 66, died Thursday, Oct. 24 at 4:30 pm at Thomas. He was a resident of Larose. Mr. Ledet was the husband of Ella Falgout Ledet and the father of Edward, Neil, Murie, Jack, Glenn and Alan Ledet, Mrs. Joyce Ougel, Mrs. Dorena Colombel, Mrs. Earline Matherne, Mrs. Ruby Lafort, Mrs. Lee Guidry, Mrs. Trudy Bourg, Mrs. Evelyn Tyler and the late Mr. L. J. Ledet. He was the brother of Forrest (Nappy), Nolan, Ernest and Clovis (Crip) Ledet, Mrs. Bella Broussard, Mrs. Pearl Caster, Mrs. Della Ledet and the late Mr. Edless and Mr. Norman Ledet. He is survived by 46 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 26, at 10:45 am at the VFW Community Center, Larose, and were followed by religious services at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11 am. Daigle Louis Metoyer Louis I. Metoyer, resident of Grand Isle, died Thursday, Oct. 24 at 1:30 pm at New Orleans. He was 66. He was the husband of Lucille Eagan Metoyer and the father of Mrs. Rosalie Harris, Mrs. Charles Crabtree, Mrs. Donald Lee and Mrs. David Williamson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Mr. Metoyer was a member of the Holy Name Society of Grand Isle, the board of directors of the West Bank Red Cross, the Grand Isle Fire Dept., the Grand Isle Rotary Club and the Council of the Aging of Grand Isle and Jefferson Parish. He also was an originator of the Grand Isle Junior Police. Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 26, at 1:45pm at the Lady of the Island Church Hall followed by religious services at the Lady of the Island Catholic Church. Daigle Eugene "Red" Savoie Eugene Peter "Red" Savoie, a native and resident of Houma, died Saturday, Oct 26 at 11:30 am at the age of 71. He was the husband of Mrs. Mae E. Eschete Savoie and the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Savoie. He was the father of Mrs. Aloysies (Una) Crochet, and Mrs. James (Shirley) Brunet, both of Houma. He is preceded in death by a son, Leroy Savoie. He is also survived by a brother, Louis Savoie of New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. Ismae Pete of Lockport and Mrs. Eugenia Hebert of Houma; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Savoie was employed by the state highway dept for 32 years before his retirement. Funeral services will be held from Chauvin Funeral Home with religious services slated at 10 am Monday, Oct 28, at Holy Rosary Catholic church. Interment will be at Holy Rosary Church Cemetery. A rosary hour will be held Sunday at 8 pm . Visitation services will begin at 8 pm Sunday and continue until funeral time. Sevin, resident of Lockport, died Thursday, Oct. 24 at 9:05 pm at Houma. He was 87. Mr. Sevin was the husband of the late Bernadette Sevin and the father of Lucien, Elton and Joseph Sevin, Mrs. Julia Boudreaux, Mrs. Enola Hebert, Mrs. Ella Foret, Mrs. Beulah Sevin and the late Alice, Rita, Ulysses and Vincent Sevin. He was the brother of Mrs. Pamela Plaisance and the late Mrs. Cecile Miller, Mrs. Lucia Sevin, Marie, Henry, Willie, Edgar, Lucien, Justilien, Clamille and Clomont Sevin. He is survived by 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services Saturday, Oct. 26 at 9:45 am from Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, were followed by religious services at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport at 10 am.
